How credits work?

If you have DDP for 5 people for a five night stay that means there are 25 TS credits, 25 CS credits and 25 snack credits, I understand that part. So if we all go to dinner together, can all five credits be taken off of one room card? It doesn't require that each of us have a card and taken off individually correct? Sorry if this is a basic question bit we've never been on the dining plan.
