While in college and out one night at a bar with the girls, I met this guy. We chit chatted and exchanged numbers. Few days later calls up and we go out. Fast forward a couple weeks and some dates and I hear through the grapevine that some of the guys had bet that he wouldn't go out with the "fat chick." I asked him and he did say yes but it was really different after that and blah blah. I told him where he could stuff his money and that he just got dumped by this 'fat chick.' I may not be much of a beauty but stll have alot of self worth.

My first inclination was that this girl is an idiot. He certainly doesn't have the investment in the relationship that she has.

My second thought is that she obviously has some boundary issues and needs some therapy to understand why she needs to forgive guy who would treat her so badly. Unless she figures this out I predict this will not end well.

What a shame! I am always thankful when circumstances occur that allow me to see someone's true character that they have carefully concealed. He did her the world's biggest favor by letting his true nature show and she wasn't paying attention.

From what I understand, he asked the sister for permission and the sister said, through her tears (!) something like, "Ask her yourself if you really want to." So HE DID! Room mate said no. Then, and only then, does boyfriend apologize and say he meant no harm, etc.
