I completely understand what you mean. The death of a parent is such a life altering event that time has to be measure through "before" and "after". To the op: I am so sorry for your loss!!!
I'm sorry for your loss.
I lost my Mom coming up on 2 years ago..and it is still sometimes just unbelievable to me. Still has the power to shock me when I realize she is not here any longer.
Life changes forever once you lose your Mom, I know. {{{{hugs}}}}
It will be 25 years next month since my mother died. I was 12 at the time; sometimes it seems time has passed at light speed, and sometimes it feels like forever.
I know how you feel, it was 12 years this past December when G-d called my mother home. December 2nd, 1993. I'll never forget the last conversation we had by phone before she died. She ended the conversation by telling me she loved me very much and to enjoy my time in Florida with Hilary. (DH and I weren't living here yet) I told her I loved her too and to take care. That was the end of November...she died a few days later.
