How Cool is This? I'm DISing from MK!

Thanks - it's fun to do!

Oops, I think I just reported my own post! Mods, please ignore! You can double-tap to enlarge the screen, but sometimes your finger catches something that is touch sensitive. Sorry!

OK, I've been here long enough to hear this dinosaur mix tape twice. "Everybody walk the dinosaur..." So it's time to make a pit stop and wander for a little bit, then get in line. See you at the Nemo show!!

Ha ha! The lady next to me in line has an Iphone, too! We chatted about how cool they are.

Also, not to rub it in or anything - OK, totally to rub it in! - the weather is just glorious today. The temp is low 80s and there isn't ANY humidity today. What more could you want? Oh, a light breeze, you say? OK, we have that today, too!

And it's a good thing, because I think AK is the hottest park in warm weather. I think the temps and humidity are supposed to increase a little over the next few days, so I'm going to enjoy being outside today. So far, no rain since I arrived on Wednesday.

Just going into the Nemo show now!!

I bought the Nemo CD a little while ago, so next time I do this I will load all of our Disney music and then I can listen to it in line to get in the mood.

The children are yelling "Nemo!" every time he swims through a bubble. A little British girl behind me just said, "He's quite a fast swimmer, isn't he?" So cute!

The lights are just going down...

I love the Nemo show! I know some people don't care for the puppet/live action combination, but I think it takes amazing talent to be able to act and manipulate a puppet while singing and saying lines. I LOVE the part where the little silver school of fish form the shape of the Sydney opera house - such a clever touch!! I really like this music, too. Fun for all! I had a great seat - I was in the left hand section facing the stage, but as far to the right as I could be on the aisle. A great view of the stage and a good view of some of the action in the aisles.

Now it's time to leave the Animal Kingdom for this trip. See you next time, AK! On to the next adventure - I haven't decided where I'll spend the afternoon!

...but before I leave I think I'll just sit here and enjoy a performance by The Village Beatniks. Some awesome drumming and great performers!

These are the kind of things I love at WDW. A dad, trying so hard to be Mr. Cool with his Budweiser cap and his hair gel and cool shades, wearing a Disney Princesses backpack. And the grandma who just drove by on her scooter - going like a bat out of hell - wearing a pair of Minnie Mouse ears. Just the best!!

Liz love it! Thanks for the people description! Sometimes thats what tells me I am truly in THE WORLD! Laughing about the grandma, sounds like mine! Except she won't put on the ears b/c of her permnent! :lmao:

Living vicariously through you is entertaining!

On my way from the parking lot at MGM to the front entrance. If I had to choose a favorite park, it might be MGM. The first time I rode The Great Movie Ride, saw Indiana Jones, and heard Four for a Dollar - Those are all great memories and I love to do those things again and again.

It's 3:30pm, so I have four hours to fill before dinner. I hope it's not terribly crowded, but I'll be here all day tomorrow as well, so plenty of time to see everything. Come on in - let's see how long the lines are!

Hey Liz . . . What time did the 3:00 parade start? :rotfl2:

Living vicariously through you! Keep us enjoying our "satellite" vacation! :cheer2:

Made it to the 3:45pm Beauty and the Beast show, although I missed almost all of Four for a Dollar. Oh, well - I'll either see the show again or just listen to the CD when I get home. I like watching people see them for the first time.

Here comes Belle...

Hey Liz . . . What time did the 3:00 parade start? :rotfl2:

I missed it, but I'm guessing sometime between 2:59pm and 3:01pm.

"Little town, it's a quiet village..."

Guess what? The beast was really a PRINCE!!!!

Two people chatted through the whole show, and someone talked on a cell phone - neither near me but I heard someone complaining. Watch your show etiquette, people!!

Omg, I just realized I miss-typed "chafed" instead of chatted. Let's correct that! People might be chafed but I'm not checking!!!

In line for The Great Movie Ride. I ADORE this ride. Wonder whether I'll get gangster or western? Place your bets!

A thirty minute posted wait time, but on the ride in ten.

Western!

Wow this is great, I feel like I am there! Thanks for sharing you vacation with us!

I love TGMR - I'm going on it again in a little while. I got in the last show of Indiana Jones, though - again, I missed the first couple of minutes with casting stuff, but I got here to see all of the "action."

A row of little girls in front of me has fingers firmly in ears. They flinch in unison every time something happens and hide on each other's shoulders. They're hysterical...

A brief visit by phone with a friend from home and my daughters and some people watching, and then on to TGMR again. Gangster this time - and if you are Tara from NC, I enjoyed chatting with you and riding the ride! Now "Uncle Dale" is going to bring me a shrimp cocktail and some fried chicken. A fun day at MGM, and I think an early night. See ya real soon! (I stole that from Mickey Mouse...)

What or Who is I Four a Dollar?

I love the western TGMR too!

Glad you're having fun--we'll be there next Saturday!:goodvibes

Jennifer

Thanks Liz! We leave Monday morning for the world and your play by play has me more in the mood than ever.

I think I will have to keep an eye out for the lady frantically typing on her IPhone! :goodvibes

I will have the laptop....no groovy Iphone for me, DH is a party pooper. We do several trips to the room...maybe have to pick up the baton on Tuesday when you go home and at least give a day by day play by play. Or something like that! :woohoo:
