How Cool!! Inside The Matterhorn

Thank you everyone, for all the neat stuff about the Matterhorn. This is great!!

The two guys "playing basketball" are Mark & Brian, who had a local radio show here in Los Angeles back in the 80's. I remember when they took that shot.

For those of you wondering about the two sides of the Matterhorn, here is a youtube video showing a comparison:

In my signature is a clip I took myself when we rode the matterhorn. My kids are in front of me. We rode the Tomorrowland side.

One minor correction: :goodvibes

Brian Phelps is in the photo.

But the guy taking the shot (black shirt & beard) is Vlade Divac.

Vlade Divac used to play for the L.A. Lakers. :thumbsup2

Bumping for newbies :flower:

This is included in the mega sticky thread, but just in case some of you have missed it...

I was told the Tomorrowland side was faster....I wonder if this is true or if it's only faster because it is shorter.

This is so awesome! I can't believe there is a basketball "court". I think I've heard everything now.

We got stuck on the Matterhorn at park closing (midnight) last summer. We were the last to be evacuated around 12:30 am, and got to walk through the middle of it. It's so cavernous inside. Really cool to see! Only bummer was that the CMs would not allow pics.

Very cool! I knew there was a reason I prefered FL side more!:thumbsup2

It is so funny how everyone has their personal preference. We have always preferred the TL side. That was the side that always seemed smoother to us.

This is one of the must-do rides every time we go!

I like to think the haunted mansion people use the basketball court to throw down with the tower bellhops.

There is absolutely nothing to support this, just something id like to see:cool1:

Haha! I second that!

So does the TL side line move faster due to the shorter ride? Love all the info...thanks!

We were playing Epic Mickey last night... and got to "MickeyJunk Mountain," which is obviously patterned after the Matterhorn. Sure enough... near the top, there's a hidden space behind a poster... and the space has a basketball hoop in it!
