How comfortable are the sofa beds at CCV?

For kids, I think it’d be fine. I did not think it was comfortable. I will say though that the mattress is definitely thicker and more comfortable than a standard cardboard thin one you’d normally see somewhere else.

Oh that’s not good because an adult will be sleeping on it.

I sleep on the pullouts/murphy beds in ALL of the DVCs due to our families unique sleeping requirements. Almost always a 1 bedroom.I have a unique perspective and some are better than others. The CCV pull out is on the lower end on the scale, but better than the resorts that have not been recently updated(like Vero and HHI, those are really rough.) There isn't a single pullout or murphy that feels like a "real" bed but some are better than others. I remember the CCV bed(we stayed there Nov 2020 most recently) to be ok but you can still tell its a pullout. The murphys are the best and I remember the pullout at the VGF to be comfortable.

We just stayed there in November and our oldest daughter described the sofa bed as sleeping on a board with a bit of fluff on it :( She’s always had a flair for the dramatic , but you get the idea.

At time of refresh.. which I'm sure will still be a while... maybe they'll consider the pull down murphy style beds w. full queen mattresses like at Pop, All Stars Movies, Riv and now Saratoga!

Now I’m second guessing my decision on booking CCV.
Does anyone have any advice on how to make the sofa bed more comfortable.Would putting blankets on top the mattress help or just putting the mattress on the floor lol? Maybe just sleep on the couch without it folded out?
I would bring a blow up mattress but we are flying and always just take carry on.

When are you traveling? If it’s after the beginning of June, why not book a room on the resort side of the WL?

We have stayed twice in a DVC studio - once at BCV and once at BLT. I thought both of the sleeper sofas were uncomfortable in both studios. My boys sleep on them and never seemed to mind when they were younger, but on our next trip, they’ll be 15, and they want a real bed to sleep on and I can’t say I blame them.

I don’t want this to come across as mean, but I cannot imagine spending all that money for a room to have to sleep on the floor or on a blow up mattress. I’d book at a different resort with two real beds or at the WL on the resort side if it’s open when you travel.

Yes I checked at the WL. The price of WL is 100 more a night right now. No standard rooms available.
We were only staying a couple nights at CCV. I kind of have my heart set on it because it will be when they have Christmas decorations up.

For some reason WL’s cheapest room is around 500 a night

I totally understand! We stayed at the WL once during the Christmas season and it is truly beautiful - my favorite resort to stay at during the holidays.

Maybe a resort discount will come available making the WL rooms cheaper than the DVC side. 🤞🏻

I just went and checked. The cheapest room available at WL is courtyard for 583.00 a night 🙄 surely a discount will come out. It’s the first week of December.
