How come I am not a DisVeteran yet?

I am still a cast member. I saw another person with only 1100 posts, and they were called a DisVeteran. How come I have more then them, but I am still a Cast member?
Just wondering how the process of changing to each one goes?

If you added that tag under your name the system doesn't automatically update your status anymore.

I never added that tag, the tagfairy bestowed it upon me!!
