How cold is next week's weather in the parks for you?

Weather can be relative to where you are from. I have a very good example of this, during our 2008 trip we went in Feb (great prices and no crowds). While checking into POR 2 teenage girls walked past us in flip flops and bikinis. The check in girl was obviously local she had on a winter parka. We are from Kansas City and had just left snow. We walked around in t-shirts and many of the CM's were dressed for an arctic event.

I'm from Pennsylvania & if the temps are in the 40-s-50-s, I'm wearing a warm coat and a knit hat for sure! Daytime temps in the 70's at WDW? Jeans, t-shirt, and probably a lightweight sweater or long sleeve shirt would be coming along.

We've been mid to upper 80's for almost 2 weeks; next week looks like perfection for most WDW guests.

Layers work best, since everyone has a different tolerance to temperatures. Having moved to SWFL 4.5 years ago from Chicago, I don't tolerate cold well AT ALL! Below 75 and I'm wearing a sweatshirt! 40's at night might not sound terrible, but when you're outside for hours in it, you can get chilled.

What a dummy, I turned in my colder weather stuff today. Maybe they're wrong.
I wish. But I doubt it.
I've noticed a trend, when we get a cool snap, FL gets one about 24 hours later. They have our high as 49 on Thursday. Unless it changes I'd expect a drop in Orlando come Friday, roughly. Which sucks, because we get there on Friday and I didn't plan cool weather clothes for DGD. I'm scrambling to come up with a way for her to wear the outfits I got. I'm seriously bummed. But will make do

I guess even "they" couldn't be that far off because it looks like the lows will be mostly in the mid 50s range for at least two weeks. Ahh, Florida temps, 87 on Mon and 53 on Sat.

We're in Canada. The other day it was 45. We were walking around in tshirts and jeans. ;) 70s is beach weather lol.

Not usually deep south it's not! High humidity makes a big difference - hear it from friends visiting us all the time!! They say they feel the cold more than at the same temps up north! The wind has been blowing a lot also which gives a real bite to the temps. Weather changes soooo fast!

Was at Disney Dec. 2010 when we saw/talked to many northerners that were buying sweat shirts/jackets, hats because they only packed for what they thought would be 'summer attire' weather! Better safe than sorry!!

I’m going to pack a pair of jeans and a sweatshirt that I wasn’t planning on before. My hope is that because I packed it I won’t need to use it until I go home.

Yes, it is going to be a bit cooler next week. Slightly below normal. Which is OK with me because, as others have noted, it has been quite warm here the last two weeks. And the humidity was up. Dew points in the 60's. Which made that 88F feel pretty warm. Especially when you are out in the sun.

This morning it was in the low 50's with the dew points in the 30's. Quite a change.

I also see the chance for a bit of rain Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning. Which will bring in bit cooler temps, highs in the 60's. While I am sorry when it rains on someone's vacation we can use the rain. After the wet fall it has been a dry winter and we have drifted back into the first stage of drought.

So pack some layers and make sure you have a few ponchos just in case.
Wishing you a pixiedust: visit!

Yeah we have the humidity and wind where we are, too. A humid, windy 70 degree day in Florida is a piece of cake lol. It's currently 36F, 50% humidity, 10 mph sustained winds. I was out in jeans, tshirt and a hoodie ;) On the flip side, we get days in the summer that have even higher humidity than Florida. We found the humidity better in Florida during our June/July vacation, than what we get here.

It all depends where you're from, what your comfort levels are. But yes, many people have the idea that Florida is 80 and sunny year round.

Looks like Thursday and Friday are the chilly days now sort of bummed but at least the vacation ends with 80 degrees!

I was noticing that too. We don't get in till about 4:30 on Friday so all we'll really need to worry about is Friday night. It does track close to our weather too

i'm honestly hoping for solid 85 degree weather during my trip at the end of the month. I would be disappointed with weather in the 70s...I am weird in that I enjoy hot temperatures!

Please. We had highs in the 60's/low 70's during our October trip for quite a few days. The nights were so chilly I wanted a hat. And we are from Chicago and yes it felt cold!
HATED IT. So much so that next trip we are going during May to make sure we feeeeeel the heat! :)

Normally October weather was wonderful, but this past trip we couldn't even go in the pool until the end of trip when it warmed up. I have a picture of us one morning at rope drop in Epcot with everyone in jeans, sweatshirts, jackets and gloves!
These trips are too expensive to take that chance again!

Yes, exactly! I want to be able to ride Splash Mountain & feel like it's an escape from the heat, not spend the rest of the day shivering!! Fingers crossed! I am almost close enough to start looking at weather forecasts!

Still hoping they're off. I'll be at DS until midnight, probably outside, on Thursday and at AK, definitely outside, until 1:30 am on Fri/Sat. I feel bad for the guests if the forecast holds up.

This thread makes me wonder... how many are going for Disney, and how many are going for warm weather? If you're going for Disney, quite honestly, I don't see any excuse for temperatures to ruin your trip. You can do Disney in any weather (perhaps with the exception of hurricanes and lightning storms, lol), any temperature. Just take the time to research the weather possibilities, then pack and dress accordingly. But if you're going for the weather, and cool weather is going to ruin your trip, then I guess the only thing you can do is plan your vacations during times guaranteed to have warm/hot weather (May thru Sept), or go somewhere else if you want a warm weather fix.

I don’t think weather will ruin any Disney trip but you know us on disboards we are mega planners right down to the weather.:surfweb:
