I went to the world last Feb. While during the day the weather was great - I did not like that I had to pack warmer clothes (sweatshirts, jeans, etc) for evening hours at the parks because it did get much too cold to walk around in shorts and tank tops. My kids also got cold at night - they wanted blankets and such to wrap up in to watch fireworks.

We are now planning the week before Thanksgiving in November. I am hesitantant to book this trip though because I fear the weather at night will be the same as it was in Feb. For those of you who have gone in Nov - is this the case??? :confused3

Yes and no. I know that doesn't help, but it is entirely possible to have cooler weather in the evenings in mid-November.

I go every four years the week of Thanksgiving and I believe you will experience just what you describe. I take a group of over 100 high schoolers and always tell them to dress in layers. During the day, in the sun, its usually a comfortable temperature and many times faces and shoulders will even get burned in the sun. Once the sun goes away you need a jacket or at a minimum a sweatshirt. Some of this is due to being warm from the heat of the day, but there is a chill in the air in November that is not there in the summer months.

It certainly did not affect the enjoyment of the trip, but I live in Michigan, where anything above 20 is enjoyable!

Best of luck!

HA - I'm in Michigan as well....and because of this nasty weather we have had this year (well it's just plain cold and snowy) I keep dreaming of 'September weather at DW'

I have a feeling we will still be going in November - it's on my bucket list to see the Christmas decorations and we will be headed down there the week before Thanksgiving for my son's 5th birthday. I'm just a wimp in the cold...LOL As long as it is nice during the day!

November generally doesn't get nowhere near as cold as February.I mean I've seen 90's in mid October and you don't start too see the temperatures drop into the 50's and 40's much until December. With that said the nights do start to cool down more, like I said not too much but if you feel you need a jacket for lows in the 55-64 range then bring some warmer clothes. With everything I've said every year is not the same,January and February are usually the coldest months and I think March has been cooler than February so far so who knows if you might get a cold front in November bringing the temps to the 30's,it's Florida in Winter it's really random.

I've been in February when it was a similar temp in FL as it was in MI! I went for two weeks this past November. There was one night that was really cold, and required a jacket. There was one day that wasn't too cool, but it was windy, so I had wished I had brought my jacket. It has never been comparable to February though! I have been twice in November, and three or four times in February.

We've done November twice now and the first a few years ago was unseasonably cold. And a week earlier it was 100 degrees so I wasn't prepared and had to buy a hoodie to keep warm. I was able to take it off by the afternoon but mornings and evenings were quite chilly.

Last year we really only had one cold day. It was rainy and windy and in the 50s.

We generally go in Nov and it ends up being great. If you are wanting shorts and tshirt weather even in the evenings then it won't be for you. By the evening a hoodie is generally needed for my kids and we bring a lightweight throw for them to cuddle under in the stroller. But mine are only 1,5,6 so if yours are older it might be different.

I've been that week in Nov. & though it was very nice though we did have some cool evenings. The night we went to see MVMCP it was freezing !! One of the people we were with had to buy an extra sweatshirt to keep warm & we had to wear our gloves . If you have never been to see the christmas decorations though I think you should chance the weather I don' t think you will be sorry. We have been during many januarys & nov. was nothing like the cold then! One jan it was even snow showers when we landed in Orlando. Just plain wrong ! Haha. Have a great trip!

When we went in November, it was in the 70's during the day but then chilly at night. We definitely needed sweatshirts. :goodvibes

We typically go in mid November and for the most part the weather has been nice and warm during the day but at night it can get a little chilly and we usually ended up needing sweatshirts and/or jackets.

The last November trip we took was in 2012 and the weather was unseasonably cool to downright cold. In fact, our last day it was only in the low 50's with a very chilly wind.

We've been there over Thanksgiving week a few years back. It was nice on some of the days, but a cold front came through and was a bit windy & chilly for two or three days. It was cooler at night as well. Even on teh warm days, we needed light jackets at night.

Florida can be tricky in the winter with 50 degree swings in one day (80 during the day down into the upper 30's at night). You have a better shot of it being warmer in November than February though. I went home for Christmas this year and sat outside eating breakfast Christmas morning in shorts and a t-shirt. It really is hit or miss so as annoying as it is definitely plan for it and layer. Anyways, it beats 90 degrees and 100% humidity that you would see in the summer :-)!

Been twice the week after thanksgiving- 80 degrees both times. Last week of Jan and in Feb 2x and it was 45-50 rainy in jan....60s and on and off rain in feb.

I went last year the week before thanksgiving and we are going again this year.
It was high 70's low 80's we wore shorts and tank tops.
A girl we went with brought all pants and sweat her butt off.
I even got sun burnt. The middle of the day was the worst, but even at night when it cooled down it was still warm enough for shorts and a tank.
However I am from Michigan so COLD to me is much different then others if its 40 degrees here I'm happy and not wearing a jacket lol.

We have gone each f the last two years the week of thanksgiving. Two years ago on the Monday of thanksgiving the temps on the Monday of that week was in the 50's during the day. The rest of the week was ok. We went this last thanksgiving and we were really disappointed. One night at HS we endured temps in the 30's ( no kidding ). Another night it was in the low 50's.

I grew up in Florida and can remember days in late December being in the 90's. Sadly our two recent trips have been a disappointment weather wise

Starts to cool down some but for you non-floridians who are used to snow you may feel it's not cool/cold at all. You really don't start to see the temperature swings till usually mid December. But again this is Florida are weather likes to change every day. Heck two days ago it was 78. The next day it was 40, and now it's back to high 70s low 80s.

We've always needed jackets in the evening for our November trips - but I've noticed that there are always a LOT of people still walking around in shorts in the evening that I can't believe they aren't freezing.

We went mid November one year. It was very pleasant. Some nights we needed a light jacket, but during the days it was very warm. It got in the mid-80s every day we were there.

We've been the first week of December several times and love it. Nothing beats Disney at Christmas.
That being said, we are from New England and find Disney in early December has similar weather - you never know. The first year, I wasn't prepared and was looking to buy gloves and a hat for then five year old. It was about 60 during the day and high 30s at night. Then one year, we wore nothing but shorts and hoodies but shorts and hoodies for us is anything at least 55 degrees. I started packing for any type of weather. You never know what you'll get.
