Hi all ~ silly question ~ how cold are the TS restaurants? Are they so airconditioned that my kids need either long pants or a light jacket for dinner?

Depends where you're from. I'm from upstate NY, and am never too cold in any Disney restaurant. Often I wish the AC was set a little bit colder! But my cousins, who live in Orlando, often complain about AC in various locations around WDW being too chilly.

Some of the restaurants can get quite chilly, especially in the summer after being out sweating all day. You can get a chill.

You'll get all sorts of replies to this. We're in the "it's never been too cold in a Disney restaurant" camp. In fact, we welcome the AC after being out in the heat most of the day!!

I haven't noticed the restaurants being too cold or too hot in WDW. Well, there is one exception...Rainforest Cafe near AK. It was so cold that we had to go into their gift shop and buy our DD a sweatshirt. Other than that, no problems with the temp.

Coming from colorado nothing at disney is too cold for us.... it's actually quite refreshing to sit down in the AC.. the colder the better for us since the time of year we go is usually quite hot outside and we aren't used to humidity so it makes it even hotter for us.

We usually don't notice how cold or hot the restaurant is either.

But the HDDR is notoriously cold. Seriously, we went two years ago in August when it was almost 95 degrees old, and we had to use our napkins as blankets--the air conditioning was up that high. And we were still shivering.

I am always always freezing. Then again, I think that anything below 75 is sweatshirt weather. I am sitting in my office, where it is 90 outside, wearing a sweatshirt because it's cold in here. I always have a hoodie or cardigan available when doing TS.

from a UK perspective.... In a vest top cold!! In a normal tee shirt a little chilly! Its nice to start with then gets a little to cold...then when you step back outside furnace temp again;)

I'm from the mid-atlantic and I find the temp at WDW restaurants to be perfect!! I like it to be a little chilly (better than being warm, blech!).

Some are colder than others.

My DD was wasn't feeling and she was FREEZING in the ESPN restaurant. We were ok but we could tell it was pretty cold. The waitress agreed with us and got my DD a towel from the Boardwalk to warm her up. :goodvibes
