How closely are room keys checked for FOTL?

Yes, I did. Although I kinda hate to diminish that feeling that many got of being superior to someone else, I realized about two minutes after posting how this sounded. Sometimes, unfortunately, I guess I have to voice something out loud to hear how stupid it is. I knew that this wasn't something I would do (and especially not encourage my kids to do) right away.

It does boggle my mind that so many so got actual joy from sitting in judgement of someone else.

Personally, I can only remember having my key card examined closely once.

Of course, I am a distinguished looking older gentleman whom no one would ever suspect of doing anything naughty.

Then, too, I often visit during slower times, so there may be less pressure to examine cards at those times.

Of course, no one should ever try using an out-of-date key card, because (let us not forget) there is someone who always checks your card: The Big Guy Upstairs, who has designed a very warm theme park for those who cheat on FOTL.

Posts where you think people are getting actual joy from judging are probably no different from your original post in the fact that things don't always come across as intended. Message boards are so difficult in conveying emotion or intent.

Although we really don't like to see the system abused, I'm sure we have all abused it in one form or another.

Maybe some were judging...but only those with halos who NEVER make mistakes!! Seriously, I really don't think anyone meant to sit in judgment, anymore than you were seriously asking how to beat the system.
It is so easy to misinterpret someone's words when you cannot hear the tone. I am like you and sometimes say or do something and then realize, DUH!...why did I say/do that?

But, it sounds like you got some great advice about using FOTL for big ticket rides then coming back for shows and other smaller rides.
