How close is AKL to AK?

Can you walk from AK to AkL? We have a PS for Boma at 5, the parade is at 4 is this doable? I have never been to AK and am not familiar with the layout. I will be driving to AK if I need a car.

Yes, it is possible. AK is only about 5 mins (max) from AKL.

I do not believe there is a walkway and you are discouraged from walking where there are no walkways or sidewalks. The 5 mins. referred to driving, I am sorry for any confusion.

The AKL is really close to AK, and like the other poster said, you could walk there in a few minutes. A warning though, the AKL along with other AK area resorts are sort of out of the way from the other parks. We found this out staying at ASM, and the bussing around can be timely. If you are taking a car though, you'll be fine. I just find that it's nicer to get to WDW and park the car and just get around on Disney transportation for your stay.. it seems like part of the experience to me. We had stayed at FW Campground in the past and it was much easier to get around from there.

You will not be permitted to walk between the park and the lodge. Security WILL stop you.

There is a bus that runs between the resorts. It's a 3 minute ride.

You are always helping people on these boards, I hope disney knows what a find they have in you. i have one more question though. If we take the bus from AK to AKL will the bus be running after dinner to take us back to get our car? We did want to check out the lodge so it would be awhile before we head back. Our PS is at 5 with the parade at 4 we would not have time to check out the lodge before dinner. We are planning on driving to most parks because with DD5 and DS2 we will have 2 strollers, 1 diaper bag, change of clothes, ponchos, water etc.. to much to carry on a bus.

Well, if you have a car, and that much stuff, then you might as well use it. One tip though... as you leave the parking lot, stay in the far right lane. Just before you go under a bridge, there will be a ramp to the right. Take that ramp, it will take you to AK Lodge. I'm pretty sure there is a sign, but it comes up quickly, and is easy to miss.
