How close in advance did u plan ur trip?

Hi I was just curious how close in advance can you or did you plan your trip to Disney? Im planning our first trip to Disney, ( wanted to go last yr but DH job) so here i am again wanting to go in Sept for Ds age 7 (turning 8 sept 12),
there are things that are trying to stop me from going again this year, but i REFUSE to let that happen, we want to go Sept 8-12, is it too late to start planning now. Do you have to pay whole amount when u reserve resort(looking at contemporary)?

Is there someone out there who planned their trips in 3months or less?

it's never to late to plan a trip to disney!!! I planned my first trip with less that 2 months to go!!! I hadn't yet found the disboards so I did it all on my own Right now is a great time to plan they are currently offering free dining and several room only discounts!! Be sure to take advantage of those!!!

You would be OK booking your September trip now. Like the PP stated, there's some great deals for that time of year. Disney requires your trip to be paid off 45 days in advance, so you would be able to pay a deposit and pay the rest off in July/August.

You should start making your ADR's (dining reservations) ASAP, since Free Dining is offered in September. Many people book their dining 180 days in advance.

Have fun planning your trip. For me, planning the trip is a huge part of the fun of going on vacation!

I started planning last October but I am pretty sure you could do it right now, like the last guy said you have to pay 45 days before you go so you have to pony up the cash quick (or have a big credit card). But the way I see it better late than never.

We booked our March trip at the beginning of January. When you book it you have to pay a deposit and the rest is due like like 45 days before (I could be wrong about the number of day, but its not all due at once...).

A couple years ago I did it in three weeks. DD got the trip as an xmas gift and we went MLK weekend. It was awesome.

Last year was maybe 45 days in advance

Our upcoming Aug17-23 trip was booked last week. I have 75 days to go and I am going to rip my hair out waiting.
