i haven't booked our flight for november yet and am getting nervous! i've been watching prices, but due to financial concerns (my dd braces going on!), i feel more comfortable waiting a few weeks til i can pay for the airline tickets when i buy.

if i wait until towards the end of august, will i still get seats?

will they be outrageously priced (212 pp now)?

how close have you cut it in booking airline?

thanks for your help!!!

I've booked tickets right up until the week before, and sometimes have gotten very good deals! You probably would not want to do that for a family vacation though, so I agree that about 4 weeks is fine, if it's not a peak vacation week.

Set up a Fare Watcher alert on Travelocity so you'll be notified if the fares go down. No obligation to buy from them.

The end of August is labor day. You may have to be flexible (within a day or two) of your dates, flexible as to flight times and even consider flying into Tampa.
