I'm just getting done watching wife swap, with a filthy house and a spottless house. Mine could use some work. My daily tasks are: a load of dishes, a load of laundry, general pick up once, two meals, breakfast and supper, clearing the table, sweeping the kitchen and mud room, vaccuuming the living room and hall, spraying and wiping down the bathroom, clearing and wiping the counters. What do you all do on a daily basis? Oh, btw, I dust 3 times a year I bet, I hate it.............

On a scale from one to ten, with ten being the cleanest,I'd give my house a 6. I usually do laundry and dishes every other day. My husband washes the pergo floors maybeonce or twice a month. Dust? HA!!! Whenver I feel like dusting I will.

I had a long discussion about my overly long cleaning schedule on another thread.

I spend about 4-5 hours a day during the week cleaning...and my house still is not that clean.

It is neverending and there is no way to ever be done.

I hate it.

My house looks like someone just ransacked it. Unfortunately they didn't take anything.

I'd rate my house an 8 out of 10.

I gagged when I saw that family having to remove animal hair from their feet when they got out of the shower. Yuck.

Ewwww!!!!

My house is clean (as in generally dust/germ free)... there are just some areas that are not very tidy...like my closet and my desk. It's kind of organized chaos, though...

I have to clean the bathroom at least once a week or I go nuts! I also vaccum and dust once a week. It helps that my roommates are neat freaks as well...

Right now there's some school papers and mail on the kitchen counter that shouldn't be there and the hamper is getting full but other than that it's pretty neat and clean. I can't stand dirt. I can live with some clutter only because I'd be in the looney bin by now if I didn't. Between DH and DD they're always dragging stuff into the house and leaving it about. I have to let some of it go or all I'd do is put stuff away (in the garbage ;) ).

Animals just make it a whole new level of dirty. I used to have a dog and a cat inside and would have fought to the death over putting them outside, but a house without animals inside is a whole lot cleaner for me.......i'm just not mega mom that can do it all.......

It depends what room you're looking at. My kitchen is spotless. I clean the heck out of my kitchen. :goodvibes The bathrooms I clean a couple times a week. I don't clean my husbands bathroom, so don't go in there!!! :p The bedrooms, living room, & family room are usually pretty clean, but may be a little messy. (There's a difference between dirty & messy! ;) ) My kids playroom is an absolute disaster most of the time. :furious:

You are so right. Since we got our dog 2 yrs ago, I just cannot keep up. She tears into the garbage and makes more of a mess than the 3 kids put together. :sad2:

My house is as clean expected with a 2.5 year old and two parents that work full time. I should be doing laundry instead of DISing and the dishes from tonight's dinner are still in the sink.

My house is fairly clean, there is pixie dust on the furnature, but no dirt. Cluttter, thats another story. But like someone said its organized chaos. It drives DH nuts he will ask where something is and I can go right to it, that is unless he helped me clean. LOL

Deanna :bored: :cat:

Cleaner than wife swap! I am itchy just watching!

fleas are not ok!! yuck!!!!

my chaos is full of toys and junk, but no bugs at this time.........

My house is clean enough to be healthy, dirty enough to be happy!

I try to keep the clutter that my family insists on accumulating to a managable level every day or so. I try to keep my kitchen clean every day, but use a spray cleaner once a week. I vacuum the downstairs once a week, usually dust the living room/dining room once a week. Laundry all gets washed once a week, though it usually takes several days to makes its way to the drawers it belongs in.

If it were only me in the house it would probably be VERY clean. But with me and 3 people who don't really care... well, I do my best.
