the reputable disney vacation TAs from the non-reputable ones? Anyone ever hear of or book with Magical Travel out of PA. I found them online and they seem to be legit but I am a newbie and don't want to get taken for a ride. Any thoughts?????
I don't know how to tell a reputable one or not and I haven't heard of Magical Travel but the DIS has a sponsor that I've used and they are phenomenal!!!
If you're looking for a TA I'd say they're the way to go.
Ask them questions. Every TA doesn't know everything but Disney qualified have more knowledge than the average. Some have even been to the Disney college for TA's.
well i live in Missouri and i had three choices of TAs to pick from. I didnt goto AAA because i forgot about them lol, but i went to the first one I found in the phone book. The lady who helped me just happened to have been to WDW like 4 times so she was very helpful with everything and got the best things for me that WDW was offering during Sept. I got round trip airfare, 6-day park hopper tickets, hotel stay for 5 nights at ASM, and the dining package for two people all at a low price of 1500. So I then went to WDW website and looked up everything I had and if I wouldve gone through them it wouldve been 2000, so Im glad I went through a TA instead bc they saved me money!!! Now I have more money to spend at WDW lol
If you're looking on the web look for an agency that has 'Disney Authorized Vacation Planner' on their website. Your Magical Journeys, My Favorite Mouse, Dreams Unlimited, Small World....those are just a few. Some of the online entities also have brick and morter locations. When talking to any agent from an online place or one at a brick & morter location ask if they've been to the Disney College of Knowledge. Ask them if they've been, ask if they will look for and apply discounts to your reservation, ask if they book your ADRs (not all do, but if they at least know what dining reservations are it's a start! lol), just ask lots of questions and if you're not comfortable with the answers, move on to the next one on your list.
We used AAA. They were very helpful, booked ADR's etc, and gave good advice. I do think you need to ask how many Disney vacations they have booked. I think some tend to specialize in Disney more than others.
