How can we celebrate our anniversary?

Just wondering if there is anything special we can do to celebrate our 10th anniversary in October. We know we would love to have some nice quiet dinners, but I didn't know if there was anything else I should look for. I would like to possibly surprise DH! Thanks in advance.

the firework cruise. go see if you split one with someone on the theme park boards.

some resorts it is just nice to walk around them - Poly, PO (both R and FQ), OKW, SSR, Epcot resorts, CSR, WL/VWL.

boat riding or biking.

We ate at the California Grill last time for our 5th anniversary, and we would love to try Victoria and Albert's for the chef's table. That would be so romantic.

The fireworks cruise would also be amazing.

Let us know what you decide :earsboy:

Depending on your budget for such an event, there are many, many options open to you. PM me if you like.

I saw your post and had a good chuckle! My DH and I went down for our 10th anniversary (of course, we included our two kids, my parents and two of my sisters & their families on our trip). Well, the first night we were down it was actually our anniversary. I had planned dinner at Alfredo's. My parents were watching our kids for the evening. Well, my husband had to out do me!!!

He had the entire night planned and had spent two months preparing for it. He had express mailed down a copy of one of our wedding pictures to Sam's Club and had a cake made with the colors of our wedding party. He and my father had gone to Sam's for supplies and picked it up - then he went over to Alfredo's and dropped it off. He had it arranged with the manager to have the strolling musicians play "That's Amore" at our table. He also bought me a beautiful anniversary band that he WAS going to give me after dinner.

Here's the funny part...I have anxiety/panic disorder. It always kicks in full tilt the first night we travel. We sat down to dinner and before the salad came it started. Between the salad and the minestrone I had to excuse myself from the table to get some air. After a few minutes my DH came out to check on me...I had to tell him I couldn't eat dinner (and I had no idea what he had planned!). He went in to settle the bill while I hyperventilated in the court yard. He came out with this big bag. When he showed me the cake I burst into tears. As if that weren't enough, when we got to France he took out the ring and said he knew my sisters would want to see it when we got back. When we did get back I noticed the cake had our wedding colors on it. This was all in a time-span of about an hour!! I felt absolutely horrible...if it weren't for the fact that I spent the night throwing up from my panic attack I would have felt worse

Now here's the part that gets even better...the end of September we will be celebrating our 15th Anniversary at the BWV's - without the kids. Can you say ATIVAN?!?!

I hope you have a great time...think of me and have a good laugh!

Okay, here's my question: if you got to celebrate your anniversary any way you wanted to (keeping it in a Disney theme, of course, since this is a Disney message board), how would you do it? Dinner at a romantic restaurant? A specialty cruise? Massage? How would you celebrate your anniversary in WDW?

Debi - that question depends on money! If I had unlimited funds :rotfl: my first choice would probably be dinner at V&A followed by a fireworks cruise on Bay Lake (preferably on the Breathless with a bottle of Cristal). Now, if moneyis an object  I would go for the more simplier version of dinner at either CRT or California Grill followed by watching the fireworks over the castle from either the rose garden (if accessible - if not the bridge into tomorrowland) or from the overlook at California Grill.

Of course, I'm looking forward to the surprises my DH has in store for us at the end of September...my opinion could completely change. He's a romantic

That sounds like so much fun! :) Now, I only need to find the man that would do the same thing for me on my wedding anniversary. Any romantic single men out there looking to splurge like that on me? ;)

It's inexpensive (about $30ish for 1/2 hour) and very romantic. We did the one at Ft. Wilderness and it was just us (well, also horse and driver but they didn't say much unless spoken too - boy, could that horse talk!!) touring trails in the darkness. Bring along some glasses and a bottle of wine or champagne!! Maybe dinner at the Contemporary first, then catch the launch over to FW.

They also have them at PO Riverside if that's closer for you...

Enjoy!!!

DH and I are celebrating our 5 year anniversary the first week of August. Over the course of the week we are doing a couple of character meals (DS2 will be with us for part of the trip), and also eating at the Yatchclub Steakhouse, Citricos, LeCellier and California Grill. We will also be going to Cirque, taking a guided tour of the World Showcase at Epcot and splurging on a couple's message at the Grand Floridian Spa. I am also surprising DH with a Wishes fireworks cruise our last night there. Already have the cake ordered and everything (did that as part of the reservation for the cruise). I am also going to try to fit in a carriage ride...if we have time.

My dad and step-mom just celebrated their anniversary there yesterday (20 years). They ate at the Concourse Steakhouse at the Contemporary, and then went over to MK for the Spectromagic parade. They not only got to ride in the front car of the monorail, they also got their pictures taken while "driving" it, and got little cards saying that they got to drive it. The Concourse Steakhouse gave them complementary glasses of champagne to toast each other with.

They also told me that we HAD to get our DS to see that parade, so now I have change around a few of our meal plans and reservations since we were only planning on having him with us two nights, and the second is the night of our Wishes cruise...so, off I go for yet more planning!!!

Have a great trip!
