How can this happen?

I was doing a quest the other day and the prizes were items from the Dead Mans Chest game.
When I won the prize I thought .. Oh well, I get nothing, as I knew the items were not tradeable,
but there they were sitting amongst my furnishings. Is this some loophole to be able to get non-tradeable items?

I would love to know how they got the items in the quest kiosk in the first place.

When you choose them as prizes, you get the message "You can only offer prizes that are tradeable."

The fact that they were in the prize list, means the owner got past that window.

They could have put the items into the quest kiosk before the items became not-tradable. I know I did that. Once I removed them, though, I couldn't put them back in.

Can you restock with new items and keep old ones in there? He also had Nemo items too, and that is pretty recent.
