I just called RIGHT at 7am to get LeCellier dinner reservations, and all they had was an 8:50pm seating!!! I mean, I didn't even go on hold, I went straight to an agent!

How can that be possible?

I think if I would have asked for Cindy's breakfast I would've had better luck!

It looks like others who called in the days before you most have filled it up. You have to remember resort guests can make ADR's at 180+10 days for their trip. So somebody whose trip starts up to 10 days before yours could have made a reservation. Rotten luck I know, the same happened to me. I recommend try calling back every once and a while as your trip approaches and you might get a better time since somebody may cancel.

Is the exactly the 180 days for the day you want to be at LeCellier?

On site guests going the same day you wanted could actually book this starting 10 days ago with the 180+10 benefit.

Are you a party of 2? I've found that LeCellier has very, very few tables for 2 and the Dining CMs will not give you an ADR for a table for 4 if you only have two in your party.

Sounds like you're competing with those who booked 10 days ago and got the day you needed. Plus add that several tables are now being held for the CP. I'm assuming you are booking for December. Just curious, what is your party size? I've never had a problem booking a table for 2 at the 180 mark, but when doing the 180 +10, the availability gets better as I start booking my +10 days. I usually have several days that I will book LeCell, and fill those first, then back fill the rest of the days with other places.

Actually, we're a party of 8! I'm taking the family (sister, parents & grandparents for their first trip.) :grouphug:

I thought the +10 policy wasn't in effect anymore. I guess I better get moving and plan the rest of my dining for my trip so I can call back today and book it all.

Seems like the only way the +10 benefits anyone is if they're staying longer than a week. Someone like me, who's only staying 5 nights, technically will have a hard time getting good ADRs cause all the people staying a week to 10 days will have booked all their dinners already. :sad2:

Hopefully they release park hours for December soon. Maybe someone will rearrange their plans when they do and something will open up. Although Epcot's hours don't vary much....

Don't panic yet. I had the same problems booking some of my ADRs at EPCOT (only very early or very late available). The CM told me it is because they have blocks of tables set aside for CP packages. She suggested calling back when those packages become available (July or August, I think) to see if they free up more tables during "prime" dining time. That is my plan, at least. Oh, I also made back up plan ADRs at some Boardwalk restaurants just in case.

I was wondering if they blocked times for CP packages. (I'm secretly hoping they are!! We had backup plans made for R&C, then right after that I read Shepherd's Pie is off the dinner menu and others weren't happy with the quality lately, so I changed it to Coral Reef. We ate there in August and the food was good, but I wanted to try all new restaurants this trip. And I've been trying to get into LeCellier for over a year!!

I'll just call back and see if I can get it on a later night. I've only got 4 left-hopefully I can get it!

Why not call back this AM and see what else is available for LC for one of your other nights and rearrange your schedule. You odds are better at getting a better time within one of your +10 days, then the off site guest or someone who 180 is tomorrow. Still worth a try. Hopefully you're planning a visit to EPCOT more than once on your trip, or can rearrange your days. Flexibility is the key! I know it's hard when booking ADRs for larger groups, as I am still tweaking my August trip and have a great time for LeCellier for my party of 11. Good luck and post back if things improve.

Your party size probably also has something to do with it. The more people, the harder it is to get in.

There is something seriously wrong with the 180+10 deal. I have not been able to get certain reservations at 180+7 for busy days. I'm always on the phone right when they open, and have never missed out on CRT for breakfast when I wanted to get it because the breakfast always releases their tables right at 180 days. But with this rule, on a holiday, I can't even try to get a reservation until most of the good times are gone at some of the popular locations.

Someone could be arriving 10 days before Christmas, stay for 10 days, and will have a better chance at getting the reservation they want for Christmas day than someone arriving the day before Christmas staying for 30 days. There is no sense of fairness or 'resort perk' in the way the current ADRs are run.

Make it 190 days from the date of the reservation for resort guests, or drop the whole thing. 180 days from the date of first check-in is a very flawed system. Just read all the posts from resort guests who never even had a chance to book at LTT this year for Thanksgiving.

I'm confused! I am going 12/8-12/15, can I make my dining reservations now for this whole time? I didn't think I could make my first one until 6/11. I want to make sure I'm understanding this correctly!!

You are correct. You can call to make your ADRs on 6/11/07 BUT if you are an onsite guest, you can then book up to 10 days worth of ADRs on 6/11/07.

I went to WDW in March with 8 people.
Le Cellier will only seat 8 at the first and last seating.
Reason is that there are no tables for 8, so to ensure you will sit next to each other it can't be during the busy times.

I agree wholeheartedly. The only benefit to the 180+10 is calling once to make all ADRs for your trip in one phone call. But I think that benefit is outweighed by all those who are disadvantaged for the reasons you mentioned.

When I called to book Le Cellier for our Party of 5, I was looking for a 7:00 reservation. It was exactly 180 + 10, and I got the LAST table available for our party size at the time slot that I wanted. I knew that it is crazy busy there though, and I wanted to make extra sure that we got our time! Last year I almost missed Illuminations because we had to have a later ADR.

Good luck!! If you try calling back though, maybe someone will cancel. :goodvibes

I had the same problem with Coral Reef. We are a party of two and we couldn't get dinner on the day we are going to EPCOT. We settled for a late lunch(250 pm). It isn't what we wanted, but we are happy to get to dine there....we aren't going to let it upset us.....it isn't worth it, but it is frustrating.

OK, just called back this afternoon and got a reservation - and with decent seating times! It was within my +10 days. They only had a choice of 2 days, one of which was 2 tables of 4. I opted for the table of 8. It's for 7:20.

I also booked a bunch of other ADRs while I had her on the phone just so I could have SOMETHING. They did have quite a bit of availability, I assume anyways, since I had quite a choice of seating times.

I guess the trick is to do the +10 days. Thanks DISers for educating me! I could have been this frustrated every morning trying to call and make reservations.

I didn't have any trouble getting into Coral Reef - even for a party of 8. We're eating there at 6:30 on the 30th. Last August I had to get a lunch ressie cause it was so booked. Guess everyone wants to eat at WS in December.

So true.... we were trying to do 6 last year, it was hard. It took checking everyday and everytime to get it. I had to do some serious rearrainging to get into Le cellier. It isnt worth it anymore to do the hassel, we get just as good a meal at other places. Last years meal just wasnt up to par, and we had a poor waiter who didnt help our opinion at all.
