HOW CAN I UPGRADE to DLX with code?

I booked carribean beach with what I beleive is the 40% discount ($115 nt), now I am changing my mind to go DLX poly (especially after reading some of the negative reviews on Carribean).....I have called multiple times but am always told DLX is sold out for that PIN #.....is there anything else I can do to change my reservation and now book a DLX with that PIN?

You would have to keep calling and trying to see if there is an opening that is the only thing I can say. You might want to check your dates 30 days out from your arrival. Disney kicks out ressies that have not been paid in full by 30 days out.
 
Please someone correct me if I am wrong, but I think Disney sets aside a certain number of rooms at the various resorts for different discounts. Once that certain number of rooms has been booked, the discount is "sold out" for that resort. For example, I tried unsuccessfully to book a room-only AAA discounted room at the Poly for our upcoming trip in July. The CM told me the discounted rooms were already gone for that week for that resort. Then she checked for other resorts for our dates and was able to tell me at what locations the discount would be available for our dates. I found that helpful, then I could decide what I wanted to do. Did you ask them to check for all deluxes for your time period with your discount, or just the Poly?

Other than that, I would suggest to just keep calling like you have been. Maybe someone with a discount will cancel and something will become available for you. Good luck!
 
Has the date for booking this particular discount pin code passed? If so the average CM on the phones more than likely cannot make this change for you. If they are unable to do that you might politely ask if they can transfer you to guest services - those CMs can sometimes make changes that the system will not allow the average phone CMs do.

Does that apply to room only ressies? I just booked a 3 night stay at BWI and put the required deposit on my CC (first night only) and the CM said that the remaining 2 nights would not be due until checkin...
 
Room only reservations the balance is not due to check in. On packages the balance is due 45 days prior. When you have booked with a code & the time for booking with that code has passed the only way you can switch resorts is with guest services. Last year I had free dining & tried to upgrade to a deluxe after the booking window had expired. Every single deluxe was showing unavailable. I nicely asked the CM to check with someone else as that didn't seem right the not one deluxe hotel was available. It turned out the when they entered the discount code it showed "unavailable" That was because the code expired. Only Guest Services can make changes at this point. Also it seemed they had more variety of rooms available at that time.
 
kcminnie, how would you get to Guest Services? I also would like to change my 40% off discount for our November trip. Do I call regular reservations and ask to speak directly to Guest Services? Will they give me a hard time? Any suggestions how to get to the right people?

Yes, do exactly that! I just changed my 40% off December trip a few days ago. Regular CM cannot do it, but she put me through to Guest Services and they were able to change it to OKW 1 bedroom villa!:banana:
 
It is due 45 days out yes but Disney does not kick it out of the system till day 30. Hope you are able to upgrade your rooms. :)

WHy doesn't the 800# offder gurst services? Who are they? Is there a way to reach them directly? Is it common place for poeple to ask for them? I feel like I am being rude (almost the equivalent of asking to speak to a supervisor?)
AM I correct in assuming from these posts Guest Services is available to handle "extraordinary" requests, and the 800 personnel will not mind the request?

The correct guest services people who can help you can only be reached by calling the reservations center and asking politely for them to look at your request.

It's NOT the same as asking for supervisor. Most CMs will be glad to help you with this.

Your assumption is correct. You should have no problems.

Hope the Caribbean Beach is okay I am staying there - Sounds like there is no turning back at this point. (August)

What dates were you trying to change? Did they say you couldn't talk to Guest services, or did Guest Services say there wasn't availability or did they say you are not allowed to do this??

I am going to be trying later to adjust my trip and would like to know what happened to you! Thanks

Relax and enjoy - you'll have a great time. We LOVE CBR!!! Infact CBR and CSR are our favorite mod resorts:) It seems that CBR gets many bad reviews but sometimes what is not great for one person will be fantastic for another and vise versa. After all the rave reviews I've read about POR and POFQ - we were extremely disappointed with our stays there. We will never stay at either again. So sometimes you can't go by how others review a resort. We loved CBR when we stayed there and I would definately stay there again in the future!!

We loved CBR when we stayed there. If you can't change resorts why not give it a try. Out of all the mods we would only consider returning to CBR or CSR. We loved both of them:)
