It's everywhere surrounding my stove! I started with my cooking utensil holder. I tried Dawn then white vinegar and it only seems to move it around because it's still sticky!

If it's that really gunky, time-hardened stuff all I can ever think of to do is scrub hard with soapy water and something abrasive like scouring powder. Can you put some of the pieces in super-hot water to soak? That would definitely help.

I think the Greased Lightening-Orange Blast- Super Strength Cleaner & Degreaser works really well on grease. I buy it at Walmart and it's about 3.50 a bottle. It's worth a try!

Good luck!

Thanks! I will try soaking a few things and maybe scrubbing with cameo. It's also on the hood range, the wall clock, k-cup holder, cabinets. Yuck!

I find that plain old ammonia works best to cut grease.

Don't buy the store brand because it's usually watered down.

Pour it on the surface, let it sit for a few minutes, and then wipe off. I use paper towels that I can throw away.

Another product I like that seems to cut grease well is Cinch.

I've never used it, but I've heard good things about Goo Gone.

Salt mixed with dish soap and hot water works well, I just used this on the bottom parts of my griddle (not the pan, but underneath). It only took minimal scrubbing once I added the salt. I just sprinkled it right on, then scrubbed with a sponge soaked with the soap and water.

Broax-It is by laundry detergent. Works great. Make it into a paste and will take off grease without a lot of scrubbing.

Watch abrasives on anything you care about scratching - I love a salt paste as a cleaner - but not on anything that scratches. Baking soda or borax are both slightly less abrasive, but will still scratch.

When I painted my Gram's kitchen, I used liquid TSP (tri-sodium phosphate) bought at Lowe's. it was recommended as great for getting the grease off the walls and it did work very well, ended up using it for the side of the stove as well.

LA's Totally Awesome products at Dollar Tree, just read the reviews! Today we actually used this on all our cabinets, door trims and baseboards. I also started using their lavender floor cleaner with good results.

Original product (I use this on my cabinets above the stove, etc)

Haven't tried this yet, the LA Awesome Orange Degreaser:

AND IT'S a BUCK! :yay:

I will also recommend Greased Lightning but with the caveat to be VERY careful with it. As I learned to my regret you must follow the directions and DON'T use it on laminate counters or anything painted. It will absolutely remove the finish. I have a spot on my range hood where the paint came right off.

I use all of these products and they work great!! Especially the one for getting stains out of clothes. :thumbsup2

We like Goo Gone. It is citrus based and will not harm the finish. I usually follow up with Windex afterwards.

Thank you so much everyone! Some of these products I actually have but I never thought to use them!
