How can I get around this...

We are going to WDW in October with friends of ours. We are not staying at the same resort, but will be doing most everything together. My thing is this... We want to make the same ADRs for the most part, but we do not want to make them together because they have five and we have four and I think its going to be really hard to get seating for nine in some of the places we want to go. So how hard is it going to be to reserve together, and if we reserve separtately, it seems almost impossible that we would get the same places at the same time, even if we are next to each other on our cell phones when we reserve. NOt to mention that we will probably not even be sitting near each other if we don't try to do ADRs for all nine of us. What you guys think???

I just made some ADRs for a group of 11 for August and had no problem getting either a table or a group of tables. Good luck.

You can call and make two reservations - one in their name and one in yours. Request that the reservations be linked so you can sit together or close together.

We were a party of 7 (in one room/villa) and we had to do this a few times. We had no problem being seated together.

I would call and see what you can come up with for reserving for 9 people and then work from there. You might also be able to talk to a CM and inform them of the situation and they can see what they can do to help you out. I think if you are a little flexible you shouldn't have any problem.

I agree with this. We usually have 8-13 people on our ADRs. I call for everyone and plan it out. For our september trip, I called last week and got every ADR within 10 minutes of what I wanted except Flying Fish.

Totally agree with making the reservation for nine. You'll probably be told that there's no guarantee that you will be seated together but in my two experiences dealing with large groups, it's never been a problem. Make one phone call and get things in one name. If you can't get a place for nine, have your friends phone number and make one for her at or near the same time and then ask for those to be linked.

Honestly though, just call and explain what you want to do to the Cast Member. They will help you out as much as they can.
