How can a renter check a VGC DVC Reservation online?

I have been given a confirmation number from my owner and wish to verify it somehow. For WDW, HHI, and VB resorts, you could go here, or for some people (not me for some reason), this works: http://mydisneyreservation.com/DVC.

Once there, I can enter your Confirmation Number, Last Name of Primary Guest, and Resort Check-In Date. But under "Resort Name", there is no choice for The Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa.

Is there another link I should be using for the VGC? Thanks in advance for your assistance.

I wasn't aware this worked before now but I checked and if you go under the first link you listed it will pull up a GCV reservation although it doesn't have the resort name and is very minimal info. DL is on a different reservation system than WDW and doesn't have the same functionality. For example there isn't online check in at DL.

Thanks. One interesting thing I found is that if I close my browser and reopen it, then click on

and then
http://mydisneyreservation.com/DVC

and then back here:
https://secure.reservations.disney....s/processEngine?process=false&pageRender=true

it takes me to a new webpage, where I can login to see Florida DVC reservations. Weird caching problem.

I was able to call DCH at (714) 520-5050 and confrim my reservation number over the phone.

i just logged into my regular account on disney main site and clicked find a reservation. i put in the confirmation # given to me by the owner and it found it.

Yep. Piece of mind is great.

It is possible that Disney could change the travel plan number and you won't be able to find it.

It's also possible that a crook could cancel the reservation the day before you check in.

Please take the steps necessary to protect yourself and verify the owners references and their DIS posting history.

Definitely. Other things (besides verifying the reservation number) I did to protect myself:

1. He told me he owned at the VGC and SSR. I verified on the two comptroller-type websites that they are indeed listed as owners.
2. He provided a company email address to a reputable company.
3. We talked over the phone
4. I befriended him on Facebook.
5. Googled him to verify his identity.
6. Used Credit Card on paypal, just in case.

There is still a chance this guy could cancel on me, but the advice I've gleaned from the DIS experts has helped me have plenty of piece of mind that everything is going to work out. That being said, I'll continue to monitor that the reservation is in place up until the morning I fly out there.
