Hi All,

Am suprising my boyfriend to a trip 2 DLP in march this year and just wondering how busy it is going to be?:cloud9:

were goin on the 11th of March mid-week for 2 nights?

any ideas anone? or has anyone been this time of year before?

thanks xxx

last year we went from 8th-13th march
the weekend was just a bit busy but the weekdays were ok.
we didnt have to wait in long queues for rides it was just fine

i would have a look to see what schools are on holidays. we were looking at the first week in march but a lot of schools were on their break. at least you are going mid week as its always quieter.

Should be quite quiet.

Mid-week off-peak is the best time to visit for shorter queues!

thanks all. i am just hoping that the ques arnt goingto be huge as were wanting to get as much in as pos!

any idea what rides to head for 1st? and the coldness in march! xx :joker:

Me too as I'm there at the same time!

It should be roughly the same as here, maybe 2-3 degrees colder.

From what I gather you haven't been before?

If that's right then head for the Disneyland Park first, I'd say here you'd want to (depending on your own ride type) hit Phantom Mannor, Big Thunder Mountain, Pirates of the Carribbean, Its A Small World, Space Mountain, Buzz Laser Blast and Autopia.

Personally I head for Its a Small World first (for my little boy) and then Pirates as second.

In our experience it's quite nice at this time of year, it is fairly busy probably because of the extra night and day offer and kids go free at this time, but it can't be too bad as we keep going back around the same time and I hate queues. :rotfl2:

As for the weather well we've had everything from freezing with snow and sleet, rainy but mild, to dry sunny and cold, pack for the worse and hope for the best. Lots of layers is the key. :)

looks like the long johns will be coming out then! ha:joker:

and yes it will be my first time at DLP. i have been to florida a few times i love it there, so kinda hoping the same from paris? xx

Paris, IMO, is better than the Magic Kingdom park in WDW. You don't have the same amount of parks around it as you do in WDW but it's certainly a case of quality over quantity as far as the Disneyland Parks are concerned.

If you have been to WDW then don't miss the DLRP exclusive bits such as Alice's Curious Maze and The Dragon's lair under the Castle.

we are going from the 11th march for 2 nights, might see you there! :thumbsup2 . the last time we went in march it was lovley and quiet and weather wasnt too bad, hoping for the same this time:goodvibes . we love wdw but equally love dlrp but for different reasons, they cant really be compared as they are different types of holidays. enjoy...

We were thinking of going w/c 9th March. I'm lured by the free night, low crowds, no hols in France or UK (remaining French schools seem to go back for the 9th), but what bothers me is that there seems to be nothing happening there then. The 15th stuff ends on the 7th, no shows on, even Lion King has finished, and the new stuff starts in April. The only thing on aparts from WDS shows is the daily parade.....

I am thinking we'll still do it anyway! The parks are still fab, and the alternative is April crowds and increased prices from then on in till September..... So, I think you've picked a good time overall & hope you enjoy!!! :goodvibes Does anyone disagree, because I'd like to hear it now before booking LOL??!

Hiya. We're going back to DLRP on the 25th March for 3 nights (so excited, almost had to have a day trip today as DB has the day off! :) ) I don't think it's too bad that there aren't many shows on etc at this time of year. We were really lucky with our timing on our last trip (August 08) and managed to see everything we wanted apart from the 'Moteurs...Action!' show in Studios (we forgot! :rolleyes2 )
If you're only gonna be there two days on park hoppers, then I think you'll find plenty you both want to do even without the 'extra' shows that were on in the main park.
Have a great time whatever!

Hugs, Squizzlet.

While its true that there will be no Lion King, no 15th celebration stuff, no new studios parade yet when you go in March, there will still be loads of entertainments.

The Studios has loads of shows, every day. Animagique, Cinemagique, Stitch Live, Art of Animation, Moteurs stunt show.

In the main park Honey I shrunk the Kids will still be showing, as well as the main parade every day.

Enjoy :goodvibes !

but what bothers me is that there seems to be nothing happening there then. ....
Precisely why I am going then. :thumbsup2
If our last trip a Xmas weekend Nov '07 had been our first it might well have been the last too, prior to that our March trip coincided with the 15th Anniversary launch, I've done busy twice and I'm hoping for a quieter trip with no events to lure the crowds, smaller queues and less rude and pushy people.

We can't wait to get back into the Studios we won't have been in there for 3 years so wanting to see the new layout for ourselves and tryout all the new attractions and it seems like there's a special pin event in Phantom Manor on one of our evenings which sounds interesting. :)

Perhaps, it's because I've experienced the 15th stuff twice, but I'm looking forward to seeing the park without all the 15th trimmings. The banners on Main Street are already down and it's nice to see the uncluttered view of the Castle again, although it's a pity about the green hoardings around the stage, hopefully the new stage will be up by the time we go.
