We are thinking about going the last week of October/first week of November this year. How busy is it to those of you who have been? The guides we have used said 4's and 5's but I would love to hear from you if you have been during these times. Also, how's the weather and please tell me about the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party.

Thanks so much in advance for your posts!!!

That is when we are going. I would love to know too, so I will "bump" this up! We are going to the MNSSHP, we just can't decide which night. We will be there Sun - Wed. I have read 4 and 5 too for crowd level. I have heard the weather is great as long as there are no hurricanes!

We've been the past three years and are going again this year for the last week in Oct. The weather is good hardly any rain and it gets hot. It is busier than early may and it especially gets busy on the weekends at epcot because of the F & W festival. Epcot is our favorite park but we usually avoid it during the festival because it gets so crowded. We've never gone during any of the peak seasons or during the summer so I can't compare. Boy I guess that wasn't much help  . We only go in Oct for MNSSHP it's our favorite  .

We went last year during the 3rd week of October (the week before Halloween). The crowds were very manageable. The parks were empty for the first two hours, then filled up and lines were at their peak in the afternoons. I can't speak of nights or MNSSHP because we went with my 3 year old who goes to bed early so we were done with the parks by 4pm every day.

The weather was pretty hot. It reached 87 in the afternoon most days, but it only rained once the whole trip for about 30 minutes. And the hots temps don't seem so bad because you're going in and out of air conditioned rides all the time. We heard to stay away from EPCOT on Sat & Sun so we went during the week (Wednesday, I believe) and it was very nice! We hit Soarin and TT first when there were no lines and took our time through the countries in the afternoon. I'm a picky eater, but my husband loves to try new foods and loved the Food & Wine fest. My son took a long nap in his stroller and we strolled around the countries, it was a great time.

I want to go in October again this year.

My famil has always gone in October, either the second or third week. It is really nice and quiet. There are always a few days with crowds, but they are usually at the end of our trip or on the weekends. Last year was the first time we went to MNSSHP and it was awesome. We went to the party during the week and the crowd was very manageable especially since it is mostly families with small children trick or treating. I would not recommend going on a weekend night though. Also, Epcot can get crowded because of the Food and Wine Festival, but just don't go on the weekend. Otherwise, it is a wonderful time to go and it is beautiful down there.

We went last year from 10/29-11/4 and loved it!!! We had been down in October before, but not that week. The weekend of Halloween was busier than the rest of the week. Halloween was a Monday and we went to MNSSHP that night. We didn't even find that too crowded until fireworks/parade time. We ran through the candy lines. Minimal waits on the rides, but we didn't do the big rides, just the stuff in Fantasyland and Toontown, but we got it all done. Loved the Hallowishes fireworks and Boo to You parade. The rest of the week was really quiet and the weather was perfect. It rained one night really hard so we left our little one at the hotel with Grandma and took our 5 year old out in the ponchos to MGM. We also loved the Food and Wine Festival... even the picky eater in our group loved it and wants to go back this year. :cool1:

Ryanally--did you go to MK during the day on Halloween, or just for the party? We are considering spending the whole day there for Halloween but since it will just be me watching my DD8, I'm a little bit worried about the crowd leve.

Liveforthemagic- we only went to the party. Well, actually we got into the park around 4:15pm using the party ticket and had a 4:45pm ADR for Crystal Palace for dinner. We walked out of dinner right in time for the party to start.
We used the morning as a resort day to sleep late and rest up to stay at the party later than usual. DD was not yet 2 so it would've been hard otherwise. From what I understand, crowd-wise it might be a good idea to go to the MK the day of a party, but we also didn't want to use up one of our days on our passes.
Hope this helps and have a wonderful time!
