I remember reading at one point in time that people in New Jersey have a week off and wanted to know is this it?

Anything other reason it might be busy? I am a baby who will be 10 months then and want to go during a less busy time.

I think you will catch the end of Jersey week (which I think runs through Oct. 9. this year). Also, Tuesday, Nov. 11 is a holiday (Veteran's Day). I was there last year from the Sunday before Veteran's day to the following Friday (November 10-15) and I think the crowds were definitely bigger at the beginning of the week but still very managable. They got smaller by that Tues. or Wed. It was a fine time to go. We just used fastpass whenever necessary. The weather was warm in the beginning but cooled off later in the week. If you have any choice, perhaps go the following Saturday-to-Saturday, which is Nov. 15-22. I think crowds may be thinner then--But this is only my opinion--:D. I hope this helps.

You're going to hit the tail end of "Jersey Week". This year, it's the first week in November (which it usually falls). Our schools are off starting the 5th and don't go back until the 12th.

I would just go the week after. Why bother with NJ week/vet day , unless you HAVE to??? This year there is a week between VET day Week and Thanskgiving week- it should be DEAD! That should be the 15th-23rd. Actually, the day after VET day should thin out..

Gosh! I feel about 2 years old. I meant to say I "have" a baby and I guess you all know that when your kids don't sleep through the night you go a bit crazy!

Thanks for the info about Jersey week. Think I might modify the plans or just do the Disney stuff Nov 12th to 15th.

Thanks!

Jenn

We were there Nov. 8-15 in 2001. It was a great time. There were some NJ people but nothing that you'd notice. Cool in the mornings and evenings, but beautiful weather the during the days.

Only negative - Saturday night was the only night MK was open, and everyone came to the party!!! Lines were brutal, and the parade was way crowded.

So if you can go without the MK nightime parade and fireworks, go the MGM for Fantasmic (which will be about 6 or 7pm) and then head back to your resort to catch up on sleep!
