How busy is New Years Eve at Sea World?

Specifically in the evening?

DH and I are thinking about heading over to Sea World on December 31st after our Discovery Cove day. (It's either that or an early night since we are staying on-property at Disney and I can already imagine how busy that is going to be)

It won't be our only Sea World day. We are also going for the whole day on the 29th and then will go again in early January if we feel we haven't seen everything.

The plan on New Years Eve is really just to entertain ourselves for the evening and then watch the midnight fireworks. Will it be wall-to-wall people or is it doable to not turn up until Discovery Cove closes? Seeing the fireworks would be nice, but it's not make or break for me so we can always just have an early night if it is going to be too crazy.

We went this past new yrs eve. The day was dead of course. It did start to pick up later in the evening. The only time we really dealt with wall to wall people was right after the midnight fireworks show and leaving the park. It wasn't horrible though. We just followed the crowd. I am looking at going back again this yr. It was fun and the kids enjoyed it. They had stages with djs and I saw these small tables set up where they did a toast too. I didn't see the drinks so not sure where they got them. Will have to check the show schedule but if its the same this yr. You should get to the last showing of the ice show cause the countdown and fireworks started a few mins after.

Thanks! That makes me feel really positive about it. If you liked it enough to want to go back a second year then that gives me very high hopes. :thumbsup2

We are debating doing this as well. We are doing the Fireside Feast xmas eve. We will see how the rest of our week goes.

We'll be there for New Years Eve as well. Staying at the Renaissance so shouldn't have too much of an issue dealing with traffic since we can just walk back.

We've spent New Year's Eve at Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Sounds like Sea World is going to be a piece of cake compared to those :thumbsup2

Yay I'll see both of you there! :)

From what I've read Sea World will definitely be a piece of cake compared to the Disney parks.

Please tell us how it was! We are going to Orlando next Christmas and are thinking about Sea World for NYE. Crowds reports from the other parks indicate crazy crowds so I am very interested to find out if Sea World is better.
