We will be visiting DLP on October 26 and 27 and will be staying at the Dream Castle Hotel. It now seems that those will be "busy" days. What are the odds that we won't be allowed entry into the parks? Have YOU ever been turned away from the parks?

Thanks

I'd be very very suprised if you were turned away at the gates. I've never heard of that happening, especially in October. The park has a huge capacity!

It may be quite busy as the Hallowean festival is quite popular, but certainy no more than the summer season.

If you plan your fast-passes well you'll get to do many attractions. The beauty of Disney is that even when it's busy there is lots to do such as Nautilus, the castle, alice's maze etc...

Even the rides like Phantom Manor, Pirates and It's a small world always have very short waits (30 mins at absolute maximum!) as they have such huge capacities.

Don't worry about your trip, you'll have an excellent time! Hallowean is awesome at Disney!

The reason it's going to be busy is because it's the UK half-term school holidays with French ones the following week ~ however it won't be that busy that the gates close ~ and you won't have any problem park-hopping. As Happy Tappy said use fastpass and have a fabulous time! :wizard: :wizard:

Hi Elaine

Do you mean that French school holidays are the first week in November or the last in October. We are going 28th October to 1st November which are our school holidays ie UK - hope we don't have a double whammy with French schools being off as well.

It seems the UK half term is split between those 2 weeks, ours is the same week as yours Pigby.

The week around the 1st November is one of the busiest of the year. As the 1st November is a bank holiday in France and Germany. And there are also school holidays in the UK, France and Germany and some other European countries. We were there last week and we had very long waiting times. We had to wait more than 60 minutes even for POTC and PM during the week! :scared1: For BTM & SM waiting time was more than 90 minutes.

It was a great trip with all the Halloween decoration and Halloween itself but we won’t do this again. But we would always choose beginning or mid October for a Halloween trip. :thumbsup2

All French schools are off from 27/10/07 to 8/11/07 so it looks like your week will be busier than mine  but at least you get to go to the Halloween party! :dance3: :yay: :dance3:
