How busy is Dapper Day?

We will be at the resort starting on Sunday Apr 23. Deciding on what park to go to that day. Any insight as to how busy each park will be, what to expect, and if we should avoid one park over the other? Thanks

Dapper Day is extremely popular. The planners have stopped doing fully planned meet-ups as a result of the crowds, but they are still encouraging people to gather at the Mark Twain in the afternoon and the carrousel in the evening. If you are looking to avoid the crowds, definitely avoid these areas or even better yet, spend the day at DCA. The Dapper crowd definitely spills into DCA but DL has always seen the biggest crowds. Last time I went to Dapper Day (fall 2015) Disneyland reached capacity and there were a couple hours in the afternoon where no guests could enter. DCA was crowded too, but much more manageable.

It was insanity for fall DD. But that's IMHO, I've never done Xmas so I don't know what max capacity situations feel like. This fall was not a max capacity situation on DD but it definitely exceeded my personal max capacity!) Are you thinking of a night in downtown Disney by chance? That would be the night for it. If I had to pick a park I'd do DCA because of the space the park has for crowds since so much of DL is shut it's been feeling extra crowded. Go as early as you can for the lightest crowds & make food reservations now! And realize now you probably won't get a ton of stuff done that day, just enjoy being in DLR & seeing all the great outfits!
