We're staying at POR for the first time and I am wondering if I should make ADR's for each morning of our stay. Do they get pretty busy around 7:30-7:45am?

I guess the answer is--it CAN be busy. Most times when we're there the restaurant is pretty full.
We always have breakfast at Boatwrights each trip and usually around 8:30-9:00. We've never made reservations and MOST times we get in w/o a wait. Once in a great while a 5-10 minute wait tops. Of course, we're in no particular hurry to go anywhere, so it really dosen't matter. It could be the restaurant is even busier at an earlier time as folks head out to the parks, etc.
I'd say that if you are sure you want to eat at Boatwrights and at or near the stated time, go ahead and make ADR's.

Here's what we're doing: I'd like to eat there once for sure, but twice would be nice. I have reservations for one day just to make sure we get a table. For the second day, I'm not sure what time we'll be eating as we are sleeping in that morning and I don't want to rush to breakfast, nor do I want to eat late if we happen to wake up early. We're going to try to walk in, and if there is a long wait we'll grab breakfast in the food court. I figure that walking in could be hit-or-miss, but since we're eating there on the other day for sure, we'll be OK with it if we end up in the food court.

When we were there, I noticed that tables were busy between 8-9:00, though it didn't appear that a lot of people were waiting for a table. It was a steady flow. I think that people generally tend to linger less over breakfast since they'll most likely be headed to the parks after they eat.

Try the stuffed French toast. YUM!!

We ate at Boatwright's a couple of years ago in Sept and just walked on in, but like I said, it was Sept. When we go in June, we are staying at POR and are planning on eating there 2 mornings, so I made sure I made ADRs for then. I got an 8:45 ressie for both mornings. I would think by that time, it wouldn't be as busy as the earlier ressies because people are wanting to head over to the parks as soon as they open, plus if there is EMH then they will be there even earlier.
