How busy in early to mid January?

My husband and I are thinking of a return trip to Universal . We had the most fabulous time last year at Portifino Bay and might try the Royal Pacific . Any ideas though of crowds at this time? Any suggestions on when to make reservations? I loooove Universal

I believe the 2nd least crowded time is the second week in Jan. until the 2nd week in Feb. We've been the second week in January and we had jeans/pullover on. We/ve been three times the 1st week in Feb. it was a little chilly. Usually we'd wear shorts but with a long sleeve top, jeans with a short sleeve top. Crowds are good, but I wouldn't go to a water park.

Disney used to run a promotion at that time called "sunshine getaway" I don't think they still do, but you could ask.

The crowds are very light after New Years and you can pretty much walk onto rides.
