Hi Everyone!

I've been in hiding from all things Disney over the summer, LOL! Desperatly trying to make a final decision about a DLP trip while the 15th is still on.

I knew if I didn't decide without being on DLP sites there wouldn't be a decision to make :rotfl2:

Anyway I've almost finalised plans for a trip from the 6 to 9 Jan. :yay: :woohoo: :yay: So just after a bit of extra info on the timing.

I expect the 6th will be pretty busy as its a Sunday and the final day of christmas season. But will it be horrifically so?
Also I see French schools don't go back til 8th, is the rest of the week likely to be pretty busy because of this?

Also how will the end of season work will we get up on Mon and Christmas will be gone from the park? Or will it be more gradual?

Thanks :)

Hi Raci

We were at DLP last January from Thurs 11th -Mon 15th.
The Sat and Sun were very busy ...queues for BTM were 90mins same for Peter Pan.The rest of the time the resort was quiet most rides were walkon on the Monday we were able to do BTM 4 times in half an hour.
There were still Christmas trees around the resort but all the Christmas shows were over and Belles Village was closed too.Mickeys Winter Wonderland show was still on as was The Lion King.
Unfortunately there was also a lot of rides closed ......Pirates for one ....boo hooo. All in all I thought that it was a good time to go with my 2 boys 6 and 4 because they are not patient and are not good in a queue.
We were also able to walk in restaurants without booking.
Hope you have a great time and wrap up well ....it is brrrrrrrr cold

Thanks Tracy.

Does any one else have any experience of early Jan, just after the people out for new year have headed back?
I would like to book tomorrow AM so any extra info would be really appreciated :)

Be aware the TOT is due to open Jan so it may be busier than normal. Im sure people have already posted about being told about hotels being busy when booking

That's fabulous news Raci :thumbsup2

On the plus side if all the crowds are over at TOT you'll have the Park to yourselves. ;)

Good thinking, TOT is one ride I have no intention of ever braving. I would sooner do RnR or SM and thats saying something. So hopefully people will stay over there although I guess more people in WDS will bump up Qs for Cars and Nemo which are both on our list of must trys. Ah well :goodvibes

I see you booked your next trip too Jill, bet you're really excited. :woohoo:
I'm trying to stay sane until the plans become definate, I checked Eurostars website at around 1 AM today and just checked back and our ticket prices have gone up :sad1: If they go up anymore I wont be able to afford it. So Disney magic :wizard: that Eurostar keep their prices the same for a couple more days now!!!!!!

Good to see you back in planning mode Rachel - hope the prices stay the same for you :thumbsup2

I will keep my fingers crossed for you that the Eurostar prices stay the same.:thumbsup2
It's another quickie trip for us, courtesy of Tesco's again, Leger are leaving their Clubcard scheme in Dec. so it seemed like a good idea to squeeze another trip in FOC, whilst we can. Me and the boys and my sister and niece, and we're all very much looking forward to it, it'll be our first Christmas season.
TOT is n't on my list either, well actually I really want to go and have a look around and I'm hoping there'll be a "wuss's wayout" in there. :rotfl2:

I know how much you and DD enjoyed your trip earlier this year and am so I'm sending a little :wizard: to help. :goodvibes

We went last January for 6 days and it was so quiet!!

This year we have booked again but word on the street is thats its gonna be a busy one!!

ALL the rides were open when we went, we went on the 21st for 6 days...I think???:rotfl2:
