it seems like disney is going to be a madhouse:eek:, is it because everyone is getting in their 'last minute vacations" before school starts up again... which btw... when DO schools start back up in orlando? never been to orlando in 3rd week of august, I know about the ridiculous heat, but are crowds starting to thin out yet? (please say yes, please say yes, please say yes)! :dance3:

We visit the 3rd and 4th weeks of August every year and the crowds have definitely started to thin out by then. Florida schools go back near the beginning of August. Only 17 days to go for us!!!! Have a great trip!

You have fun too! We are treating US to Club level, so that will be nice. I cant wait! My son hasn't been to universal since he was little, (10 yrs)! It should be a blast. Not sure if 4 days is too long,... but plenty of pool time and relaxation :beach:

August, pretty much, gets progressively less and less crowded. It is not like September, but definitely better than June and July.

As for heat...it is an oven.

It is extremely Hot and Humid. As the month progresses the crowds thin out

Hot is a matter of perspective. It was 108 here today and could get hotter this week. I tell people that we will be cooling off in Florida in a week.

stinking hot! but slightly less crowds.

Most private schools in Florida start back next week and the week after. Most public schools are back in session by the 3rd and 4th weeks of August. It's still a sauna, but at least you're not packed in like sardines.

The family and I were there last year (Aug 15th to 18th) and it was hot. Even the occasional mid afternoon shower didn't cool things off. On the crowd levels, the only part that was very crowded was WWOHP (of course). But even that area calmed down after sundown. You're going to have a blast!:thumbsup2 Enjoy.

True...afternoon storms only make the heat wet and don't provide much in a way of cooling off. That's summer in Florida. :teeth:
