Hello All! Our daughter is going to be performing at Disneyland during this time, although we haven't gotten our final confirmation for the days from Disneyland, but the days are pre-set for us. We were wondering how busy the parks will be? We are taking our other kids to enjoy the parks as well. The last time we went it was the first week in October and we really enjoyed that time, less crowds, not as hot. Just trying to be prepared! Thank you very much!

Well it'll be Summer so expect it to be fairly busy. June/July are busy times of the year

It will definitely be busy since it is summer and kids will be off school. There may be a bit of an attendance spike because Star Tours 2 and Little Mermaid are expected to open 3 weeks before, but at least they will have been out for 3 weeks so you won't be caught in the immediate rush. Another thing that may help out with your dates is that they appear to be the beginning of the So Cal AP holder summer blockout dates.

Thank you all, well, guess we better plan for b-u-s-y....oh, well, I'm sure we'll have a great time, thanks again :)

Both the SoCal and SoCal Select APs are blacked out from June 22-25. That should help quite a bit. You should at least be able to breathe.

Have fun!

We went the last week in late June 2010 and are going again 6/21-6/29 this year. We thought the crowds were not bad at all. We used Fast Pass a lot, went EARLY every day, had a big afternoon break and stayed late every night. The parks we open 8AM to midnight so even with big afternoon breaks we were in the parks about 12hr/day.
I also used RideMax and Hydroguys tips for FastPass and touring in summer and high season- see Dis Stickies for these.
I usually review his well thought info to refresh my strategies before we go.
Then we go with a plan but we also go with the flow.
Enjoy seeing your daughter in performance! What will she be doing?

Great information, thank you very much, sounds like with the blackout dates it won't be horrible. The one thing about going in early October is the park closes early and doesn't do fireworks everyday, so maybe going in June won't be so bad after all.

We haven't gotten my daughters itinerary yet, we only know that she is performing at Disneyland and will be in clinics/workshops with the Disney Choreographers for 2 days.

Thanks again all for the help!

Forgot to say that my daughter dances, she is going with her Dance Team. She is 14 years old and is VERY excited :). We are from Oregon.

Put her performances up on the Dis cuz we"ll come cheer her on! A little Washington State northwest support!
Years ago we happened to be in DL when Bremerton HS Band (Wa stste) was marching in a parade there and we took some pics fro their kids/ Happened to know their school secratary, so we sent their pics to the school to get to the kids. Fun and unexpected!

Thanks all, I will put up her performance days!! We will be so excited to see her dance!
