How busy does everyone think the world will be the 1st week of April? We have been planning on a trip to the Grand Canyon (from St.Louis), driving and with the price of gas - am now wondering if the world is a good alternative. What about the crowds? We have been there during Christmas in 2009, that was the busiest we have ever experienced and did not really enjoy it as well...........not sure how many will be on spring break that week. We would leave on Easter...TIA

We were there the weekend before Easter last year and the crowds weren't bad at all. We headed out early morning, took a midday break, then back in the evenings and it was more than manageable.

My kids are off school that week for Spring Break. I wouldn't go that week if you paid me.

Very busy. Normally, I would definitly not go, not only crowded but one of the most expensive times to go. But our dance school is going and DD is doing a workshop and I am performing.

Very busy, but that's not stopping us! We plan to hit rope drop, have fun, relax, and not care if we have to stand in lines. We'll be at DISNEY, and I'd rather spend spring break at disney than sitting in my office working :)

Traditionally Easter week has always been very busy, but this year will be interesting to see due to there still being a lot of disney resort availability. Not sure if many people are staying offsite due to the lack of disney discounts or if people are waiting to book in the next 3 weeks. That set aside, whenever we're in disney and it's a busy time of year, we make sure to do our favorite rides in the morning hours. That way, as park attendance picks up in the afternoon, we won't feel pressured or stressed to do our favorite things.

I know that lots of schools in Georgia are off the first week of April. We went last year, but Easter was much later in April. Traffic was crazy on the Saturday before and after. I am not sure it has ever taken us that long to get back to Atlanta. If you do go, just try to go at Rope Drop everyday.

Ill be there, me and a few million others :lmao: I knew it would be crazy busy which is why we are staying offsite in a 2 room condo so we have a place to relax and catch our breath. We also plan to do rope drop, and be back to swim at our condo by 2 pm, when the parks will be insane.

Busy plus the fact that Easter is the first week in April the parks could reach maxi. capasity which means they will turn guest away until the crowd level dimishes. My Uncle who works at MK said it was a mad house the day they reached capasity and closed the park this past Christmas.
