How busy are you at work?

This is my first desk job and as a claims rep, sometimes I find myself really busy and other times I am sneaking looks at this site... honestly, how busy are you at work?

Right now I feel like I am at a stand still with my files... I am waiting for people to call me back or be home when I call them....

On a scale of 1-10, with 1 being slow, 10 being busy, my day is normally a 6. Today looks like it'll be a 15 though.

During the school year we are extremely busy with all our "bad" students . . . I work at a H.S. for one of the Administrators and all I see is the discipline needed students . . .

Unfortunately we are here 12 months, and we work during school vacations as well. There isn't much to be done . . .we already inputed the lockers and AUP's and we have to print out new labels for the students for their files and just basically get ready.

I can't stand not having a ton of stuff to do because the days go by sooooooooooooo slow . . .

It varies for me. Right now I am not that busy, but there are times when I feel like I am drowning. I seem to have more extremes then a nice medium level of being busy.

I'm a waitress and usually work 3 - 9 p.m. When I first go in at 3:00 it's usually not busy at all. That gives me time to do the prep work. Occasionally I'll have a few tables between 3:00 and 4:00 but not many, sometimes none. It starts picking up around 4:30 though, and especially on the weekends it gets real busy. I like being busy though, makes the time go faster. When it's a slow night we're always looking at the clock.

I'm an Addictions Counsellor and sadly I'm busy most of the time.

Well, some of you may know that my company is shutting down and all new projects were canceled some time ago, so we are here for pretty much support and to fix anythinig if it breaks. So we really don't have a lot to do and days go be really, really, really slowly. I figured I didn't need my business cards anymore so I did this with some of them:

My coworkers try to knock it down, but I built it too well.

And unfortunately, in order to get the severance they are offering us, I've gotta stay until let go. So we'll be here another 4 months or so, doing pretty much support and not much else. *sigh*
