Hi,

We're going to be in Orlando from Aug. 10-18 and are thinking about getting those 7 day 2 park tickets for Universal, but I'm wondering if it will be worth it?

I don't really want to spend my time waiting in long lines all day.

I know the weekends will probably be really busy, but how are the week days at Universal? :confused3

Thanks

If you are comparing it to Disney, Universal is not busy at all, LOL. I am speaking from our trip earlier this month only. For the first two hours, there was 20 minute or less wait for most rides in US. We started at the back and worked our way towards the front. If you will be there several days, you can just leave when it gets too crowded or hot and do more the next day. They have single rider lines for some of the busiest rides, if that is an option for you. A lot of the rides also have indoor queues so at least you aren't out in the burning sun!

We were there during that same time frame in 2007. If you're not staying on-site the trick is to get there for park opening. Plan to be at the turnstiles by 8:45, at the latest. We found that the lines really weren't bad until about noon. We ended up leaving the parks by about 1 pm and going back to swim. We went back at night when it was cooler (5-6pm) and stayed until close. While the lines weren't as good as first thing in the morning, they were better than mid-day.

Thanks for the info. :thumbsup2

I guess we'll get the tickets and plan on going early morning and evening.

We're wanting to try Wet n Wild or Aquatica also, but not sure which one to choose? They both look really fun. :woohoo:

do go during the week.

i have found the best days for low crowds to be tuesday, wednesday and thursdays.

mondays are good also as long as it is not a 3 day weekend.
friday should not be ruled out as a day to go.
i just find a touch more of people there on that day.

check the universal calendar for closure times.
i know the parks tend to close earlier by the third week in august.

when you said you would do mornings and evenings, just wanted to give you a heads up in advance.

the parks can extend the hours any day.
it depends on the crowds in the park on that day.
