How busy are the parks right now?

We are off to Saratoga Springs for 2 weeks on Friday. We are really looking forward to this trip. Our DD is 16 months old and just walking so it could be a bit more challenging than when she used to stay in her stroller.

I am expecting the parks to be fairly quiet, but how quiet exactly? Has anyone recently returned and could give me a rough idea of the lines/wait times? Obviously, it will be much easier for us to keep DD content if we don't spend too much time hanging about.

They were dead last week. The longest wait was 5 minutes.

It was dead last week, never waited for anything at MK...rode Thunder Mtn 5 times in a row, Splash Mtn 2 times, Buzz 3 times, no wait for Dumbo or anything in Fantasy Land, which I think is unheard of. Discovered that Casey's has bleachers and a screen showing cartoons in the back, LOL. Walked right up to the curb just as the parade at MGM was starting and Fantasmic was about 3/4 full. Rode the Safari ride in AK with only 1 other couple. DS got 13 autographs! I got lots of awesome pictures with no one in the background. I was actually able to see stuff in the gift shops. I could go on and on, LOL! I imagine with all the cancelled trips and more hurricanes out there, it will remain quiet this month. It was so nice, it spoiled the heck out of us. I looked at the "mazes" as we walked through to each of the rides, and reminded myself how lucky we were. We were happily exhausted from doing so much, instead of maneuvering through crowds and waiting in lines. You'll have a blast!

I'm thinking the impending hurricanes have played a big role. Just wondering if the next few weeks will be busier w/ all the people that cancelled from Frances and Ivan.

The families that were there were predominately from Europe or those with pre-school children, it seemed.

Hi,

Just got home last night from a wonderful trip. There werent many wait lines at all!!!! We walked on most rides, and even rode a few several times in a row!!! Saturday did seem more crowded, and the lady in front of us in the Dumbo line said that many of the people with kids evacuated up to orlando from the keys for the weekend, so that kind of explained it.

one warning,,,,,once you go when there is no crowd, you are forever spoiled!!!!!

I was there Saturday, and it was remarkably uncrowded.

DH, who works at Y&B, says that the resort has been very quiet, too, with no one visiting the marina. My sister over at SeaWorld reports that it's uncrowded there, too.

I think there are two things at work. One is the fact that everyone is back in school. And the other is the hurricanes. This past weekend, a lot of people changed their plans out of fear of Ivan.

You should have a great time if you're coming this weekend. Enjoy the quiet time of year and the shorter lines!

We were at MK Sunday and it was the emptiest I have seen. At 2:55, you could find a sit down on Main Street for the parade. No FP, because nothing was more than a 10 min wait

totally dead. we left monday afternoon. the only ride we had to wait for was rocking roller coaster on saturday afternoon and teh wait was 30 min. tower of terror was walk on as was everything else last week. there were people on buzz that had ridden three times in a row without getting off! i think the plusses way outweighed the minus ' in going right after the hurricane. not that we planned it that way, but, i think God was steering me right by booking monday to monday instead of friday to friday
