How busy are the days before Thanksgiving?

I am wondering how the crowds will be the Saturday through Wednesday before Thanksgiving? What about Thanksgiving Day. I know that the weekend after is a madhouse but would try to avoid that.

Any ideas?

Ooh. I was there arount Thanksgiving time back in '92. I had a bar mitzvah to go to and they had it at the Swan. I forget if we spent all of Thanksgiving break there though or just the weekend. It was pretty quiet whenever it was.

Of course, that was over 10 years ago, and back when MGM was fairly new and AK was non-existant. Things are probably a bit different now.

We went in Nov. 2003 from the Thursday before Thanksgiving to Thanksgiving day. Thursday and Friday in MK were great. It gradually started getting busier and by Wednesday and Thanksgiving day it was pretty crowded. Luckily we had done the rides we wanted so only went back on those that we really wanted to do again besides that we mainly looked at decorations in MK on Thanksgiving day and did Chef Mickey's for dinner.

We were there last year from the 10th - 24th. We noticed the 22nd - 24th were extremely busy. Everywhere we went. Even the pool and game room at the hotel were over crowded. When I was checking out I asked why the sudden hike in people and I was told 2 things:
1) Disney is very busy for Thanksgiving break
2) Many people who had made plans for September rescheduled for November because of the hurricanes

We have gone to Disney at thanksgiving for the past 4 years. Last year was very busy. The wait for Tower of Terror and Rock n roller coaster was 120 minutes and the fast passes were gone. That was on the day before thanksgiving. It seems like each year we have gone it has gotten worse as for as crowd wise. The weather is nice and cool and they have some of the christmas decorations up. We will be there again this year.
