How Budget Friendly was your weekend?

Friday- $0. Stayed in/ate in and did some more work from home Friday night.

Saturday- We went to Hollywood Studios for the day.
About $12 at Starring Roles Cafe for a cupcake (we split the chocolate/peanut butter, so good) and 2 bottles of water.
$82.24 at our ADR at 50's Prime Time (it was really good!)
$35 for gas. on the way home

Sunday- $150 at Nordstrom Rack for a dress for a wedding coming up, and a new (much needed), duffle bag and a birthday gift for my FSIL.
$3 Starbucks (at Target)
$21 Target

Redeemed for $35 in SB gift cards, and also for $10 on receipt hog. I also worked again today from home.

Overall not horrible. HS is so much fun, I love Rockin Roller coaster!

Friday - soup supper at church ($15). Then board games at home.

Saturday - haircuts, Costco, Hobby Lobby, Dollar Store, and grocery store. Ouch. Probably $250

Today - fitting for a tux ($20), lunch at Mall of America ($40), Cold Stone ($20), Old Navy..new clothes for vacation ($105).

Not as horrible as most weekends, but when payday isn't for another 11 days....

We went to to my DD's state championship swim meet in Milwaukee. Gas round-trip to Milwaukee, 3 nights of a hotel room, $54 worth of admission fees to watch our DD swim, another $50ish fees for *her* to swim, food from Thurs-Sun, and the real kicker .... $265 for a new technical swimsuit.

No, it was not a budget weekend.

Good news is she got 3 new personal bests and her 100 back and 200 back times will get her some good looks from college coaches.

Well, other than the fabulous leather tote bag I impulse bought...

Guess that sentence doesn't really need finishing. It speaks for itself :P

Not very budget friendly here! We just had a change of plans for Spring Break (we were going to the in-laws in AZ) so I had to cancel the flights and spend the day trying to figure out something else to do. So now we are heading to Punta Cana instead for the week! So I had to pay for the hotel.

Not budget friendly at all! We just returned home from spending the weekend in NYC. I don't even want to know how much I spent but we had a great time and it was well worth the cost.

Horribly unbudget friendly weekend...we leave for our Disney / Disney cruise Saturday so this weekend was prep for that.

Friday - I was off so I ran around buying random things for our trip including Michaels/Party City/Dollar Tree (door decorations for cruise and glow items) - 15.00
Victoria's Secret - About 50.00 which is awesome considering I got a 46.00 bra and 5 pairs of panties for that.
Kohls for bathing suits and a couple of tops - 140
At least we actually ate at home this night!

Saturday - We hit the mall for some items
Dillards - Clinique makeup 30.00 but I did get a Free with purchase gift
Belk 65.00 for DH a pair of shorts and swim trunks (got a great deal on both considering they were Ralph Lauren and Chaps brand and the swim trunks were originally 65.00 on their own)
Victoria's Secret 54.00 (another great deal)
Auntie Anne's Pretzel - 5.00
Lenny's Sub - 0.00 We had a groupon
Walmart - 100.00 For about a million bottles of sunscreen & other vacation junk
We did go to the movies for free Saturday night. Ended up with free tickets, free popcorn and free drink so that was a huge savings.
Hobby Lobby - 5.00 for door decorations
McDonalds for a quick bite since we didn't have dinner 7

Sunday
Costco - 130 which included 80.00 for a 100.00 Flemings gift card which we will use for my birthday dinner at the end of the month
Lunch @ Costco - 7
Walmart - 35.00
We did eat dinner at home again so that was at least something.

Overall, it was a bad spending weekend but it was necessary and we leave for vacation in 5 days! Plus, I got a great deal on most items we bought.

It wasn't a very budget weekend. Mom ended up in the hospital. I had to drive 300 miles to take care things because the only relative in town at the time was my SIL. Gas, Turnpike tolls, hospital lunches, no healthy food in her house (where I was staying), so extra grocery shopping, etc.

Glad that she's been discharged and I made a lot of meals that I froze in single servings so that she eats a little bit better for the next couple of weeks. But boy did it cost me a lot of money

Well, it was budget friendly for the fact that we didn't spend any unplanned monies. Had our usual dinner out on Friday and grocery shopping. It wasn't budget friendly when we ordered our new kitchen cabinets! That was a very big ouch to the pocketbook!

{{hugs}} I'm glad that your mom is out of the hospital.

We stayed pretty well in budget this weekend.

Friday- We went to the movies 3 movie tickets and popcorn (we have one of those big tubs that you buy once a year and then pay $3.50 to refill it each time) $29

Saturday and Sunday we stayed home and enjoyed the weather and just played out side.

Sunday I did buy my brother a wedding present that I will be framing off of etsy for $21.

We did dinner at Olive Garden $72.70, then bought a gift for dds friend party $27.17 but I had a $30 TRU rewards dollars so I didn't spend a dime! ;)

Then target and got some new cups for the house but I'm returning them today...and a new trash can $19.99...

Saturday lunch at subway for 2 people with a bogo coupon $10.51, grocery shopping $166.29, MDs because we went grocery shopping after the above mentioned party! $13.57(dinner for 3 with a coupon)...

All in all for us $283.06... I'll take it!

bad/good....depends on how you look at it.

seems like this month allot of stuff I don't buy often we were near or totally out of (cooking oil, pam, some staple dry and canned goods) so we went to walmart to see if we could just whack it out as cheaply as possible. $194.00 later:crazy2: I still have a few items left to get. on the bright side $27 of the total were AWSOME deals on men's clothing-2 $3 long sleeved henleys for ds, 1 $5 minion t for me:bitelip:, a $7 licensed long sleeve henley and $7 licensed flannel pj bottom (for dd's university) for dh:thumbsup2

oh-I also spent on wet cat food, but managed to find it from a company on-line that was running a first time buyer's special that got the price including tax and shipping to less than 50 cents per can (runs at least 75 cents per can here) so I ordered 48.

It was ok.. not great. I stocked up on chicken breast from the butcher for $1.99 lb which is good for around here. It's bone in/skin on, but it's easy for me to debone and take the skin off. We bought 25 pounds and it should last the three of us into the summer (dd doesn't eat meat). Then there was just regular grocery shopping ($85) and Costco ($80). I think that is the first time in my life I've gotten out of Costco for under $100 and that included my passport photos :).
Ds12 is growing like a weed and put his knee through a pair of pants the other day. I had him try on his summer clothes Friday because if I was going for pants we might as well shop for summer/vacation stuff too. Only 2 pairs of shorts still fit. So we went to Old Navy. I managed to get him two pairs of pants, two pairs of basketball shorts, a long sleeve and a short sleeve button up for Easter brunch, a pair of nicer shorts, white undershirts and boxers for about $110, so overall it wasn't too bad. I also ended up with $40 in super cash so I can go back before our trip and pick up a pair of capri's for me.
So nothing splurgy, and all necessary expenses.

Oh.. forgot about the oil change. We ended up needing to replace the filter as well so almost $80 there.

I did very well this weekend.

Friday I was off so I ran my weekly errands, $200 later I am stocked up on food for at least two weeks and household supplies for at least a month. I should only have to stop at the store for fresh items.

Saturday I worked and then we had girls night in with food we all brought and Netflix

Sunday I worked and did not spend anything

I did horrible :guilty:, but I can say none of it was really my fault, lol!

A few weeks ago, I had to go to the ER, and ended up getting the bill for that last Thursday to the tune of $1300 out of pocket.

Then last Tuesday my furnace went belly up, and ended up having to buy a new furnace which was installed on Thursday. Ended up paying $1388 so far for that before it was installed, and will be paying about $1500 more when the bill comes for the balance.

Talk about Murphy's law.. I swear my furnace knew when I received my tax refund, grrrrr!

Sounds like my car - perfect budget weekend til I went in for my 60,000 mile maintenance and had $2400 in work needed (I knew about the work, but who knew hoses and car seat sensors cost so darn much!)

Worse than I'd hoped... spent about $250 on fairly trivial things - ate out at some cheap places ($9 panda express, $9 on a gyro) & had two spendy lattes. Went to a movie that we had to pay cash for since it is out of the main theaters which we almost never do - my husband frequently gets free passes from work as a kudos. Spent the bulk on a video game for myself that came out Friday and another $100 on redoing the cables on our entertainment system which had become a rat's nest of cords and dust bunnies. Groceries were picked up but there were a lot of snack items in there which I feel guilty about... luckily apples and bananas but we also got some tortilla chips and ice cream which we really don't need calorically..! Oh well.. still on track to knock out another credit card to $0 this month and I am still employed! We had layoffs again last week so many were not so lucky... :faint:

I was going to say great! No spending, however then I remembered that Friday my horse had his vet appointment (routine stuff) and that was $395- ouch! However, other than gas, that was it.
