DS - 10 lb, 15 oz (scheduled c-section, a week late)
DD#1 - 10 lb (scheduled c-section, 2 weeks early)
DD#2 - 8 lb., 10 oz - VBAC, 11 days late...I was thrilled that I finally had a "normal" sized baby that I could deliver!
But let me tell you, the big ones were great eaters and slept throught the night quickly! And breastfeeding a baby that starts out at 11 pounds sure takes that weight off quickly!!!
Chris (3 days late) 6-14 (c-sec)
Sarah (7 days early) 7-5 (home birth)
Emily (7 days early) 8-8 (home birth)
Alex (6 days early) 8-8 (home birth)
Jeffrey (2 days late) 8-2 (c-sec)
DD was 8lbs 8oz and 19.5 inches. I think I must have had gestational diabetes at the end because she is naturally petite and you would never guess she was that big at birth. She will be 4yo in 3 weeks (oh my heavens! ) and we will be thrilled if she weighs 32 lbs at her check up.
After trying to convince my OB that I AM going to have a big baby & him telling me "no, no ALL new mothers say that" He also said that the baby will 'only' be 7-8 lbs..........
Well, imagine my surprise when my 10lb 2 oz 23.5 inches son came into this world!!!
I can't believe I pushed out a 10 lb baby, with NO epi!!!!! (not my choice, just never took)
Oh and my baby was shoulder dystocia because he was too big.
Anyway, the next child (if it happens) WILL be an automatic C-section! (even my ob/gyn has said that)
