How big & roomy are Airtran seats?

We are flying airtran for the first time in 3 months, I have looked for pictures of there plane seats but cant find any. How would you compare there seats to sw

i have not flown sw, however i am about 5'4 and 154 pounds and i found the seats to be plenty big enough and leg room sufficient.

SW's seats are definitely a little roomer. Airtran's seem a little narrower. Check out seatguru.com. I think they have dimensions on there.

You can review airline seating on www.seatguru.com, just put in your airline, and get the aircraft type...

thanks for the replys i was able to get some sorta idea, from the link. The extra room is really not that big of a deal, i was just wanting to know what to expect. Several years ago we flew Delta and got on a small jet 3 seats to a row not very fun. I wont' be doing that again.

Just a thought, you can upgrade to first class at the check in counter, if any are available, for as little as $49 a seat. We did it for our return flight in Oct 08. Now DW won't fly any other way.

I am 5'7 and I find that they are a tad bit cramped. The seats are also hard as a rock!

Go to SeatGuru.com. They give specifics for every aircraft by airline. It will give you not only the seat measurements to compare...but also the good and the not so good seats in each aircraft's configuration.

If possible, this would be my suggestion too. I found Airtran seats to be fine width wise, but the guy in front of me was in my lap. No room between the seats that way. Average airplane seat comfort.

We upgraded on the return trip and was worth every penny.
