How big is the BC? Really?

After hours on this site (thanks everyone) I am now considering the BC. We have a 2 yr old and I have read a few times that it is really spread out and the rooms are far from the elevators. How big is big? The maps don't make it look that big?

And transportation - that seems to be the main complaint, but I can find this complaint about the WL too - which is my other consideration.

I don't mind walking but we stated at the Boardwalk in 2002 and the walk from the elevator to our room was at least 5 minutes. Not good if you forgot something.

Anyway - the pools look great and I like the idea of walking to the Boardwalk and Epcot. Tell me about the playground - is it just the one I see by the baby pool?

Any help would be great!

I don't think it is that long, but I was in the villa portion.The pool is very large and if your dd can not swim you will need to keep a close eye since the pool has varying depths.My 4 yr old loved the shallow sand bar area and just sat in the sand digging the whole time.Not too sure about the playground since dd wasnn't too interested.The walk to Epcot is awesome..only 5-7 mins.DHS was further.I would say 15-20 mins, so we took the boat over.Transportation was really good this past time since in the past it has been so so.

There can be some long walks at BC as well. Maybe not quite as far as BW, but still long. You can request a room near the elevators to reduce the amount of walking.

The BC sure isn't as big as the BW. For one positive comment, you'll find 10 negative. Transportation is fine.....some days there will be longer waits than others. BC would be a great choice, for anyone!
