How big are pizzas at Via Napoli?

DH & I usually share the individual pizza. We often get the salad for 2, but not always. (DH normally eats regular to light for a guy. I eat light.)

I asked for dressing on the side since I don't eat dressing.

When it was me, DH, DD22, DD19, we shared the large (round) pizza. The girls eat light too.

I think they are tilting the pizza a little towards the camera, so it gives the illusion it is a little bigger than it really was.

I'm still confused, please help me out. Disney wants the entire table to use TS credits OR Disney wants the entire table to pay OOP? No half TS and half OOP? Is that right?

The problem is, we will have 9 at our table. My in-laws have ADR at Coral Reef that night and probably don't want to eat (or spend) a whole lot at Via Napoli at lunch. But the rest of the table will eating their TS meal for the day.

It seems to me the in-laws would do better to purchase an app OOP at Via Napoli at lunch so as not to spoil their Coral Reef dinner 5 hrs later.

Any thoughts?

I am not positive, but I think at Via Napoli, if you are all on the DDP, they may want you all to use credits, I would plan on asking if the parents can skip a meal and order appetizers, pay OOP, but I bet they will charge if they see any sharing of the DDP orders with them.

I wish i had a definitive answer fo you. WE are over our credits, we alway s are, and Vial Napoli is an OOP choice for us. If you are over your alloted credits, I would consier paying this one OPP too.

At Via Napoli on the dining plan, if you are eating they will try to take a dining credit from you, even if you all share the same pizza. We were shocked when 3 of us ate there at Christmas and split a medium pizza that was right under $20 and they wanted us to use 3 table service credits for it. We quickly decided to pay out of pocket for that meal.

My Daughter and I always share an individual size pizza and it is plenty...I would pay OOP at Via Napoli over using dining credits unless you have a lot of people that want to share a large pizza.:sunny:

DH and I even shared one in Feb and got the salad for 2 and it was more than enough for lunch with all the other snacking we do at Epcot WS.:mickeybar

We love Via Napoli and go each visit! We have an ADR there for next Saturday night and do plan to share a individual size pizza and maybe get an appetizer of the Calamari!

We're over our dining plan credits by one and I'm trying to figure out the best to pay OOP. I'm thinking it's going to be Via Napoli, especially if we can share a pizza between two people, or between three with an appetizer thrown in. I know on the menu it says serves 2-3 or 3-4 or whatever. But what does that really mean?

I've also heard about issues with splitting meals, but that's only with the dining plan, correct? If we pay OOP we can share, right?

Other places we're going are: Ohana, 50s Prime Time, Park Fare breakfast, Tusker House or Boatwrights (not sure which yet), The Wave, and Raglan Road. It seems that Via Napoli is the most "share-able" or best value for OOP.

What do you think?

We split a large pizza, a regular round one, not the huge rectangular one, between 3 adults and a hungry five year old and it was not enough food. I think one less adult, or one less five year old would have been fine. ;)

You can split meals when you pay out of pocket.

We did this OOP in 2011. We got the mezzo metro and did half pepperoni and half plain. It was myself, XH (who is a big eater) DS and DD who love pizza. We left 1/4 of it. We also got the salad for two and we all had drinks. I think it came to about $80.

We are doing OOP for our next trip. No DDP. It's on our list since it's economical and GOOD.

Went to Via Napoli last month, 3 of us (grown men) split a mezzo metro. As you can see from the photo, it's rectangular, maybe 12 slices. Probably equivalent to one 18 inch large round pizza, or one and a half 14 inch regular round pizza.
