:rotfl2: I did my taxes last night. By taking a $15K paycut in late 2007 I can now officially afford a trip to Disneyland! Now, does that make any sense to anyone else?

I now make so little money that, for the first time in my life, I qualify for the EIC! My refund is going to be big enough to cover a real vacation this summer! I am thrilled!

Sadly, this may mean that my planned trip back to where we used to live isn't going to happen again this year. I can actually get a hotel room cheaper in Anaheim than in Kansas City.

Oh, well, such is life! We made the trade off last year and will gladly do it again this year!

Now, a couple questions stemming from the combined effects of my laziness and the fact I don't have internet at home, so research is a bit difficult:

1. Does Disneyland have the new online dining reservations? Do they have the new shorter ressie times or can I still book 180 out?

2. How soon would I need to decide whether we want to pay for reserved seats for Fantasmic? Do I do that through dining, too? (BTW...if anyone has photos, I'd love to see the set up prior to making my decision!)

TIA!

Beth

YAY!

Disneyland does not do on-line booking for Priority Seating. You can call (714) 781-DINE. They start taking PS for dining 60 days in advance.

If you want to do reserved seats for Fantasmic! it's either 30 or 60 days out. Not sure. Call (714) 781-4400 and ask. $60 for adults, $50 for kids.

I just called and Fantasmic priority seating is reserved at 30 days out!

On our last trip we didn't do much by way of extras. I plan to loosen the purse strings a bit more this time. Thank you for the phone numbers and dates. It is nice to not have to rush my decision!

Where do you live in KC? We have gone the past two years and love it. We had done WDW in the past but really love DL. We are thinking of driving this year. We have never driven past Denver to the West. We have driven to WDW before. It looks like its 23 hours....yikes! We are trying to get out there as cheap as possible. Hopefully gas prices stay under $2.00

I am sorry about the big pay cut - I went through the same thing when I moved from Orange County to the Inland Empire. Salary slashed by a third with the snap of your fingers. But, we all adjust and are thankful for our jobs, right?:thumbsup2

The good news is you are going to DL - Congratulations!
Depending on when you are going, reservations are a must for Blue Bayou, any Character meals and if you so indulge, Napa Rose. Have a wonderful trip.:goodvibes
