How bad's my butt gonna burn for this one?

so far we've had....

Alyssa Milano (by me)....as well as Def Leopared (the whole band I guess), 2 guys from Bon Jovi and one memeber of Duran Duran.

Clearly some people are still livin' in the 80s..... :rotfl:

Who's got 1 of the Thompson Twins, Debbie Gibson or Bret Michaels??

Hey...the 80s rocked! And I still have the hair (and slouchy suede ankle boots) to prove it! :teeth:

Here is the thread. It is a bit of a long, drawn out mess. But, feel free to read it if you want to catch up. If not, that's cool too.

Yeah, Eli has got it going on too. And, hey, let's not leave ol Cooper out. He needs some love. Other than the fact I am a Colts fan, I think it has to do with that fire in Peyton's belly that is attractive to me.

Since I somehow doubt it has anything to do with the topic at hand, I'm not even going to click that link, MMackey. I totally get what this thread is about and it's the one I've chosen to participate in. :)

ITA that Peyton is hotter than Hades and I think his little brother is too. JMHO, if we can't come on the Dis and post about hot celebrities, there's not much point in posting here. They took away discussions on religion and politics, and I'm down with that totally, but if they take away the ability to talk about cute guys, I'm bailing.

Ah, yes, but the likelihood of a celebrity showing up on ones doorstep saying, "I want you!" are, I believe, slim enough that you're into pure fantasy. So, therefore, adding into the fantasy he's single and so am I seems only reasonable. ;)

By this logic, when Johnny Depp shows up and wants me to have his children...

Any history aside, this thread was clearly intended to be light hearted, why not take it as it was intended??

Well, if we're into pure fantasy, then when I imagine that Robert Downey Jr. is showing up on my doorstep I'll just also imagine that we're both single. :rotfl: Then I don't have to worry about the whole cheating thing. Because for me, throw the idea of cheating into the mix and it goes from a fun and harmless fantasy to something sleazy.

And I apologize, because though I did see that the OP wanted to keep this lighthearted, I also believed that she meant what she posted about not caring if he was married or not. It's hard for me to take something like that in a lighthearted way. From her other posts, she can be kind of intense about crushes on guys and I guess I was reading this one through the filter of those. (Sorry, OP - I don't mean "intense" in a bad way, necessarily. Just that you seem to take your crushes very seriously.) Clearly it's better if I back out of the thread.:flower3:

I have only two words . . . . . George Clooney!

:thumbsup2

Peyton Manning--bleah. There hasn't been a really good-looking NFL QB since Steve Young retired. Maybe Tom Brady would do something for me if he didn't have a weird chipmunk smile, beady eyes, and that Michigan Wolverine stank about him.

Hey, no need for that. The more, the merrier!

I AM intense. In everything I do. Workouts, vacation planning, you name it, I am go big or go home. So, yes, it could probably stand to reason that maybe I am a tad intense when it comes to Gym Guy. Now with celebs, my attraction is all intended to be taken with a grain of salt.

And honestly, not to get off topic, but no, I normally am not intense with my crushes. I know it may seem so. It's just this one particular guy, I dunno. He's no Peyton Manning of course, but he can hold his own. Tehe.

Maurice Bernard from General Hospital and Lenny Kravitz, both of them in a heartbeat. :lovestruc

Holy Moly.. that video with Lenny in the bathroom with his hiney showing .

WOO HOO, I would be hard pressed not to try to bounce a quarter off that behind.

As I have mentioned before, no Peyton is not the most gorgeous qb out there. See Joe Flacco. See Brady Quinn.

But, I am the kind of person that is usually not attracted to the hottest person in the room. What attracts me to Peyton is his leadership, intensity, passion for the game, and his beautiful, beautiful mind.

Okay.....no you don't recall correctly. I don't remember ever finding out one of my favorite sports stars were married, and being completely distraught over it. Sure, I may have been like, bummer, but I would not qualify it as "very upset."

Are there celebs that I like or find attractive or think are cool? Sure. Do I sit around and think about them all day, pining away for them? Uh, no. Hardly obsessive.

I guess the thing is, you do admittlingly obsess about someone at your gym, quite a bit, so I think anyone who has been following that saga could easily see how you could turn that on to a celebrity.

Of course people think have celeb crushes....Clooney and Tebow are high on my list.

DH and I each have a top 2 that we are allowed to cheat with, no questions asked, if they came knocking on our door. :lmao:

My top 2:
Alexander Skarrsgard- however, he has to have his fangs in and his vampire clothing on- tank top and jeans
Johnny Depp

DH top 2:
Angelina Jolie
Giadda from Food Network

If Giada De Laurentiis will cook for us, I will gladly do the dishes while my DH entertains her. :thumbsup2

Well, I can't say that we know that much about his mind, but what completely endeared Peyton to me was how he acted during his brother's Super Bowl game. Did you see him up in the family box seats? He paced around, a nervous wreck for his bro, and it was so sweet. :lovestruc

After the game, he went down to the locker room to see Eli. He hugged him and told him he loved him. I loved the commercials that played after that game--with Peyton and Eli horsing around with each other.

The other night, I saw a TV interview with Eli where the interviewer stated that if anyone says a negative word about him or his dad to Peyton, he'll come across the desk to get at 'em. You just gotta love a guy who clearly loves his family that much.

Since the Giants probably don't have a shot at the Super Bowl this year, I'm routing for the Colts because I know I'll enjoy seeing Peyton's family route for him the way they did for Eli two years ago. :)

Very funny post, AWMommy! :lmao:

I know how you feel - I fee the same way about Hugh Jackman. ;)

What a beautiful, beautiful....... mind! :rotfl:

OH man, I don't know who 90% of these people are (well, except for the 80s ones;)).

I'll go with that guy that plays Zach on All My Children (no idea what his name is). I guess my New Year's Resolution should be to get a celebrity crush! :goodvibes

Oh, I know. So, SO sweet. And, as an older sister, I can totally relate.

What I mean by his mind is..........he is the football equivalent of a rocket scientist. I mean, he studies the game inside and out. He watches films and takes notes incessantly. He sees the game at a whole 'nother level. And, when he gets up to the line of scrimmage, he can read a defense and improvise like no other quarterback in football (Drew Brees is a close second). His mind just operates in a completely different dimension than other football players.

Matt Damon. That is all :lovestruc

This soooo true! I love watching Peyton play. Dh and I always tell each other how lucky we are to be fans of team with this type of consistency.

During Monday Night Countdown, Steve Young said that by the time all is said and done, he believes Peyton will go down as the best quarterback ever. Troy Aikman was twittering last night that Peyton is the most consistent quarterback he's seen play. That's high praise coming from two excellent quarterbacks!

Oh, and if Peyton doesn't come calling, I'll take Dallas Clark!:)

Seriously why does this always happen on the dis, someone posts a light hearted tongue in cheek kind of thread and folks turn it into a full blown mess??
I know people can't really think that the OP was sitting at home hoping and praying for Peyton Manning to call her, come on, can people for once chill out, why must every thread have to be so serious, it's Christmas time people time for some Christmas love around here...hehe!:banana::cheer2::cheer2:

ITA!!! This is exactly what I was talking about the other day when I started that "kill-joy" thread! :scared1:
