How bad is the Pool Construction at the AKL?

I noticed on another thread that the AKL pool had construction going on around it, and that it was a bit noisy. Has anyone been to WDW recently and seen the construction there? Is it bad? Do you think it will be done by mid-May? I only ask b/c my husband and I are spending the last half of our honeymoon there and we had planned on spending a LOT of time by the pool. If it's loud all the time though from construction equipment and drills we may just transfer resorts though. Any insights? Thanks in advance!

I don't have an answer for you, this is the first I have heard of any pool construction at AKL. I am "bumping" this up for you though because I would like to know as well.

I'm staying there on the 27th for 2 nights and I'm also curious. I think I might give the resort a call.

For what is worth I just got off the phone with the front desk at AKL and they told me there is no construction going on. I hope that this is correct because my kids and I are looking forward to using the pool without having to worry about construction going on. I shall be seeing for myself in 4 days and will let you know.

We just got back from the AKL and there were small areas of the pool deck that were being worked on but we weren't bothered at all. Not noisy.

We stayed AKL Apr 13-15 and there was work being done on the pool deck, including some jackhammering. It wasn't too bad.

We were there two weeks ago, they started putting up three different areas with walls around the areas they were working on. Patch up work I guess. Did not notice any noise at that time.

Wow thank you all so much for the quick responses! The review I had read left me with the impression that there wsa constant noise worthy of causing a stampede. Then I saw another mention of it here on the disboards and started panicking! lol The actual construction you all just described though doesn't sound too bad though thankfully! Thanks again everyone!
