How bad is Thanksgiving weekend if you're staying on site?

We would like to try a couple of days at Universal next year and are considering Thanksgiving but it would make more since to stay at Universal at the end of our trip the Fri and Sat after Thanksgiving (we are DVC members and would rather stay at Universal during high point weekend nights). How bad is it that weekend if you are staying at a Universal hotel and would have express? Thanks.

I tell you -- Universal with Front of the Line is THE way to go for Thanksgiving weekend. The lines were manageable and we had a great time. Disney at that time is just a ZOO! (We hate Disney when it is packed to the gills.) We then went to Disney on Monday to Monday, it was GREAT!

Anyhow, if you like the crowds at Disney, do Disney during Thanksgiving weekend. Universal with Front of the Line is just great during that weekend.

day of Thanksgiving-not too busy. day after-PACKED. your FOTL access will help so you dont have to wait that long in line ;)

Staying on site is the key. We went for Thanksgiving Day last year and were pleasantly surprised since the previous year we we at Disney and it was swamped! I'd say US was less busy than IOA, but both we fine with the FOTL. We ate at Mythos for lunch, had ressies and it was fantastic!
