How bad is Test Track?

I loved Test Track, it was not scary at all. If you are scared of thrill rides the ones to steer clear of are The Rock n Roller Coaster, Tower Of Terror, Space Mountain, and Expedition Everest. Also if you don't like getting banged around on a thrill ride then stay away from Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.

It's a fun ride, not scary at all, like taking a ride in an underpowered sports car, with your teenage daughter driving..suck it up butter cup and go have fun....

I am an old fat man who had trouble getting into and out of our car but I enjoyed the ride enough to do it twice with my older son. We had a blast.

I learned to drive in a 53 Ford, "3 on the tree," flat head 8, on curvy mountain roads. Test Track brought back some good memories but did not scare me at all.

I think . . . not nearly as bad as riding down I95 with me driving lol. My daughter would disagree. She can easily fall asleep with me driving, she nearly poohed on Test Track. Needless to say, this is one (of many) ride(s) that she will NOT be doing again. Her (somewhat long) list of "what the hell was I thinking" rides also includes Pirates of the Caribbean, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Splash Mountain, Star Tours. I guess if ALL of these scare the heck out of you, then maybe Test Track isn't going to be your cup of tea. Honestly though, I don't think it is as bad as I 95, and I 4 on the way TO Disney World.

Not bad at all. The car driving fast outside the entrance is as bad as it gets. But, I mean, you're driving as fast as you are on the highway just geting to Disney World.
But the ride is essentially driving in a car.

Some of y'all's comments are so funny! LOL I never have done nor will I do TOT, BTMRR, Splash Mountain, Rock n roller coaster, expedition everest, space mountain, etc. I love Pirates, Kali River Rapids, people mover, etc. I guess Kali is the biggest "thrill" type ride I do and me and my kids literally will get off and get back in line to go again. I still can't get my husband to go on it. LOL And I don't like driving on the interstate, in fact, I won't drive on the interstate, my hubby always does and I get anxiety about being on the interstate but once we get started, it usually goes away.

There is nothing scary or thrill ride about TT. Sure it is fun and sure it goes fast, but a thrill ride it's not. JMO. I would not pass up riding TT.

I loved it, especially since I would never drive that way in real life. It is a safe way to really drive fast and take fast turns. As an aside, I have vertigo but have never had trouble on Test Track, Soarin, Star Tours or Dinosaur. I had never been on any of the roller coasters cause I was afraid I would get sick and ruin a day of vacation so I have been holding off until we move to Orlando in 2 years cause if I got sick on any rides (when we are living there) I could just go home. However, last trip dd and sil talked me into riding Big Thunder Railroad and I loved it , no problems at all. I might even try Universal, after we move, getting brave in my old age.

I love Test Track! For me it's a little adrenaline rush when you hit the track at 60 something mph. Love it! In fact, we always try to ride it twice, right in a row because we just love it so much :)

The biggest advice I can give is to KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN!!! The first time I rode it, I closed my eyes, and didn't hate it, but wasn't a fan, but the next time I kept my eyes open so I could see the banking and it was so much fun! You'll be just fine! Enjoy!

I am a chicken. I don't like rollercoasters AT ALL. I didn't even like Goofy's Barnstormer. My family wants to ride test track, so how bad is it? I watched a video but it's hard to tell.
Thanks!
Amanda

have you ever rode on a highway in a convertible? That would be how it feels. Inside it can be a bit jerky with the brake tests and turns but once you get outside and they test the speed, I would advise removing any hats or anything on your head that isn't safely secure. Glasses are not a problem as the force just holds them to your face. But hats will be gone.

The only "painful" part of the ride is going outside. It's dark inside and then all of a sudden, BRIGHTNESS ENSUES. There are no hops at all. There are curves, however, apart from the ones taken slowly, they are very wide.

If you can handle someone mashing the gas pedal to the floor and getting a decent 0-60 time in a normal car, you won't have a problem at all.
