How bad is Pop Warner?

Unfortunately, we didn't know until we went there. You could try googling it. From what I hear, it's in early Dec. every year.

Or, move your trip back a week, to the week following Thanksgiving. By Sunday of that long weekend, the crowds are dying down, by Monday the parks are terrific. All the decorations are up, all the parties are in full swing. The only thing you will miss are the huge crowds.

To the OP, PW SHOULD be 12/7 to 12/11 in 2009 (With some arriving on the 12/5 and some staying after). You should just about miss it!

As for parade taping, it is normally the first Friday and Saturday in December (which should be 12/4 and 12/5) Avoid MK like the plague on 12/5 and you should be just fine!!

I know they say PW is in December, but we go every year in March and run into cheerleading competitions then?? We stay at the CBR and there always there, does anyone know if thats PW? I was just curious.

The National High School Cheer Competitions are in March.

Last year we were there from the 12th through the 19th, and we saw them then. This year we'll be there the 13th through the 21st and I anticipate them to be there again. It was really no big deal, we saw them mostly in the morning.

We were at POR this past Dec. during Pop Warner, never, ever again. Two late nights in a row much running around and noise, yes we called to the front desk about it, next day I was in the lobby and a woman and her daughter, a participant in the cheerleading, were filing a complaint with the manager on duty concerning the other kids. The pool was mayhem the one day we decided to use it. There was also an entire football team kicked out of one of the resorts in the middle of the night due to fighting. Sorry, I know there are many good kids and maybe we encountered the worst of them, but it's not worth ruining our vacation for.

we are staying at the dolphin so my guess is that they won't be there.

i know there are many many good kids but the horror stories i have heard make me cringe, and wonder why disney puts up with it, that many teens is just a recipe for trouble. i have often wondered how much damage is done to the resort rooms!
